bri-marie This irks me. (Nothing against you, jameswilson.) As someone who's pro-life, these kinds of things get flung at me all the time. "Do you even [i]care[/i] about what happens after it's born? What if it's gay? What if it's trans? Black? Are you still gonna care then?" Just because I think life begins at conception, just because I think it's a baby and should be treated as such, doesn't mean I don't care what happens after it's born. I'm [i]still[/i] going to fight for it's rights, regardless of ethnicity, skin color, gender, sexuality, religion, "disability" or disability, alien, or political party. /end rant.

Cinders ^^ You're absolutely right, bri-marie. There's a common assumption that if you are pro-life, you are conservative on all other issues. That means that many people assume that all pro-lifers are anti-gay marriage, or against homosexuality in general. I think that's an unfair connection to make. Some pro-lifers are against gay marriage, but not all of them are. And even so, many people I know that don't support gay marriage still respect gay people, even if they disagree. That being said, I do think this is an interesting challenge to all-around conservative voters. Not necessarily condemning their pro-life stance, but their anti-gay marriage stance. The claim being, "You know that all human beings deserve rights, so why take those rights away from the gays?" I've always seen this statement as more about gay marriage, taking the pro-life philosophy to support a pro-gay marriage stance. If you look at it that way, it's not so offensive. :o)

Sappp I agree with Cinders last point. I did not see this picture as being about challenging pro-lifers but about challenging those who are anti-gay marriage. I understand not every pro-lifers is anti-gay marriage and vice versa. But for those who are... this is an interesting question to think about.

chocolate18 i don't support abortion nor gay marriage. It's a human too and if we were given the gift of life, why not pass it on? i'm anti-gay marriage so i won't support its homosexuality but i wouldn't go as far as killing.
