Belle's my least favourite princess, Ariel's my fifth. I prefer Ariel because I think she is a far more human character. She is flawed and relatable and makes mistakes. Belle, while she is not a Mary Sue, has a more ideal or "perfect" personality I just don't like.

I never related to Belle as a kid, because she only read books. She didn't do anything else. And to top matters off, the plot of Disney's B&TB was slow-moving, and the pace was boring. We used to watch B&TB and The Lion King all of the time when we were children, because they were my sister's favorite movies as a kid.

I used to wish for adventures like Ariel, and though I saw Belle's movie more often, Belle was way less exciting to watch.
