Before I go into the topic, I have to address one point: The newly added scenes in Beauty and the Beast and Pocahontas. I’ll ignore both of them, since they weren’t in the original release. Believe me, it will work in favor of the Film in both cases. Also, Mulan is not in this lista – Since there is no Amore song in that movie.

9: Princess and the Frog: I honestly considered that having no Amore song at all might be better than utilizing one so frightfully bad. Whoever thought that it would be a good idea to combine the wistful tune of Ma Belle Evangeline with two dancing frogs must have been drunk. In fact, combining a song about the longing for Amore with a couple who isn’t really in Amore yet is a very odd choice. The melody itself is a nice tune, but used this way it’s a fail. That Naveen and Tiana argue at the beginning of the song doesn’t help either.

Fanpop says: This one got voted as secondo worst and got not even one vote for the best. “It's a boring song and also forgettable.” (VGfan30)

8. The Little Mermaid: Don’t get me wrong, I Amore “Kiss the Girl” but I don’t think it’s particular romantic, take away the sea and the boat, and the lights and the result reminds me a little bit of cheerleading – Go, go, baciare the girl! Plus, there is actually a continuity error in it: Sebastian sings that Ariel will get her voice back when Eric kisses her, but that’s not the content of the contract. She gave away her voice as payment, there was nothing about her getting it back if she gets kissed during the three days.

Fanpop says: Not much. The song stayed somewhere in the middle in both votes.

7. Cinderella: I’m already at a stage at which it’s difficult to decide. “So this is Love” gets such a low placement because it does successivo to nothing to advance the plot. Yes, Cenerentola loves the prince, and he loves her, Amore feels like heaven and it’s a very romantic scene – can we sposta on now?

Fanpop says: Not one best vote and a lot of worst votes. “I find this and Ma Belle Evangeline very forgettable.” (Milky-way). That was più o less the tenor of most of the comments.

6. Beauty and the Beast: It was really hard to decide where I should place this one. I finally settled on this place, because I think that the other songs are just a little bit better. I originally considered judging “Something there” in this category, but decided later on that it would fit elsewhere better. Nevertheless, I took into account that there already is a song about Belle and the Beast falling in love, which makes “Beauty and the Beast” a little bit unnecessary. But it’s not just about two people being in love, it’s kind of a Meta about Disney Film and fairy tales. It happened before, it will happen again, and it might happen in real life too. It’s difficult not to get sucked into this. It’s not on place six because I think it’s bad. The following are simply better.

Fanpop says: Another one which flew mostly under the radar.

5. Aladdin: I know this is one of the più popolare songs. It’s an award winning song. The carpet ride scene is easily the most iconic in this movie. Musica and animazione are in perfect sync during “A whole new world”. The way the Musica is descending and ascending to the carpet ride is perfect. So why is it so low on the list? Well, I think that other songs are più meaningful. It’s nice that Aladdin is ready to give gelsomino whatever she wants, to travel the world with her, but it’s also somewhat shallow compared to the deep feelings some other songs convey. It also does little to advance the plot – yes, gelsomino softens up to “Prince Ali” enough to actually talk to him, but the really important scene happens when they rest on a rooftop and she tricks him into revealing that they met before. I consider this song the best between those who actually made it into the movie, but in the category “Love Songs” it gets narrowly beaten da some of the others.

Fanpop says: I fear some people are now sharpening their tongues, because it got voted as the best. On the other hand, it was also voted forth worst, so perhaps I might survive the tongue lashing. *hides*

4. Snow White: “One Song” is one of the few Amore songs on this lista which has a reprise (although detto reprise is part of “Love’s first kiss”). And while this is not really one of the più popolare songs, I think it deserves this spot for the way it gets utilized during the movie. The first time it’s at the beginning, when the prince woes Snow White. The secondo time is when he finds her presumably dead body. Both times he expresses his deep Amore for her, and only for her. It’s romantic the first time around, cuore breaking the secondo time. And while most of the other songs I mentioned before have a “let’s take a break from the actual plot and just enjoy the Musica and the animation”-feel to it, this one doesn’t slow down the movie at all. It is nothing più and nothing less than the Prince’s confession of love, short and to the point.

Fanpop says: Yes, I really put the song which got voted as the worst on fourth place. There were a lot of commenti on it being boring. “I like them all but this melody is so monotonous.” (fiina)

3. Tangled: Now, this is a song which really tells a story and is romantic nevertheless. The best part of “I see the light” is that both characters are in perfect balance. It tells the story of two people, who discover something about themselves. Rapuzel realizes that she allowed herself to get ruled da fear. Eugene realizes that in becoming Flynn Rider he lived a lie and that’s he want to get liked as Eugene. They have changed each other, but not in changing their personalities, but in giving each other strength and help them to overcome their own inner demons. When they unisciti each other in the refrain they understand each other, and the voices blend into each other in perfect sync.

Fanpop says: This stuck in the middle, but it has some fans. “It just so beautiful and i cant believe that Zachary's and Mandy's can fit in each other that perfectly “(sheep2901)

2. Pocahontas: Every other movie would have gotten downgraded considerably for having the Amore song only in the end credits, especially since I’m normally not a big fan of the pop-versions they tend to use there. And truthfully, before I took a good look at those songs, I hadn’t really considered this one. But “If I never knew you” has easily the most meaningful message from all those songs. It’s not about being in love, o falling in love, o promises, it’s about the meaning of love. It says “Whatever will happen, meeting te has changed my life, and I don’t rue one secondo we spend together”. And for this movie, the placement is perfect. We hear the tune of the song when Pocahontas visits the imprisoned John Smith, and he encourages her although he thinks that he will die the very successivo day. Playing it in the end credits after Pocahontas and John Smith had to say good-bye to each other, is a very good reminder of this scene, and makes a bittersweet ending. For the same reason I’m not a fan of the newly added scene – this is one of the cases in which understatement works much better.

Fanpop says: I’m finally back in the trend. Third place for this one, and it got mentioned a couple of times as runner up.

1. Sleeping Beauty: I had a really hard time to decide between “Once upon a dream” and “If I never knew you”. The latter is, on the first hearing, più meaningful, so I put it on spot one first. But then I heard “Once upon a dream again” and suddenly realized, how true the text is. It acknowledges that reality sometimes can’t hold a candle to dreams, but Aurora and Philip simply don’t care, in this one moment they forget all their doubts. And isn’t this was Amore really is about? Forgetting the ifs and whens and taking a leap of faith? There are no guarantees in love, after all.
Another plus is the way the same text becomes a different meaning during this scene. First we have Aurora, who sings about her desire to meet the man of her dreams. And then we have Philip, who uses nearly the same words to convince her that he is detto man and that she is the woman of his dreams.
And I admit it also helps that this scene and the ball scene at the end of the movie are easily between the best Disney ever animated. Yes, the scene with Belle and the Beast in the ballroom is memorable, too, but this one came first and is hand drawn. It’s such an impressive piece of animation.

Fanpop says: The only commento was a negative one: “I like it but they sing it many times and it's too repetitive for that.” (JosefS_girl24). But it also got voted as the secondo best.

“Esme?” Meg shook her. “Esme, wake up!”
“What?” she groaned, turning over and opening her eyes.
“Eric’s going to the spiaggia soon,” she frowned. “You have to get up.”
“But the sun’s barely risen!”
“Looks like he’s an early bird,” Meg laughed.
“Fine,” she sat up in bed. “Though, what the hell are te wearing?” She raised an eyebrow as she looked over the grotesque green dress Meg was wearing, complete with a huge bow in her hair.
“This is the most muted thing they have in 1989,” she sighed.
“Maybe so, but is that awful bow really necessary?”...

UPDATE: Okay, now Rapunzel is in the countdown! :)

Number 10: Aurora

Aurora...zzz...she doesn't really do anything. I am sorry. She is cute in the period she is awake, but...that's it. The problem is that her character is not expanded enough. I am sure that if she spent più time awake, she would be much più interesting.

Hehe! He is so cute! *sighs dreamily*

Today is Cenerentola and Charming's (2nd) 1st anno wedding anniversary. Fairy Godmother and Anastasia told them about the time stream being totally messed with, but they didn't mind. Charming actually thought it was più exciting and romantic the way it turned out.

Charming walked past the ballroom and noticed that the doors were ajar. He didn't hear Musica o footsteps. He stopped walking and leaned in to peak through the open doors. Beyond any of his speculations, he saw a zucca in the middle of the dance floor. His whole...

My Favourite Princess Line Up

As much as I Amore the Disney Princess I decided to do an articolo on the ones I like. Please enjoy and rate my article. Thanks guys.

6. Snow White

Snow White was the first Disney princess to have her feature length movie da Walt Disney way back in 1939. What I like about Snow White is her kind cuore and her sweetness. My only downside to Snow White is that she can be a huge pain to try and listen to as she has this sweet sickly personality that will make te either like her o loathe her.

And we will live happily ever after.

So the Disney Princess fan for the mese of April is Dweep! Congratulations! I for one have noticed all the work she's been putting into our spot and whole-heartedly agree with the verdict. So let's get right down to the interview shall we?

How long have te been active on this site?
I think I joined in the late summer of 2009. Me and my best friend wanted to find out which Disney Princess was the prettiest so we looked it up and got to this site. But it wouldn't let us vote unless we were a member so I made an account. I named the account "dweeb" because I felt like such a loser for joining....

"A ship?" asked Pocahontas. "Hmmm...never heard of it. What does it do?"
"I Amore you, you're like a martian," pisello quoted her favourite movie Mean Girls. "A ship is what people use to travel across great masses of water. Think of it as a big version of your canoa only with servants and a buffet!"
"Wow, that sounds exciting!" Pocahontas replied. "Let's get a better look!" With that,...

I have tried/am trying to write a Disneyville high school but I'm having issues about how to represent the characters. I got Gaston down at the jock, and the triplets girls from Beauty and the Beast as cheerleaders Cenerentola and her steps are the new kids (but Ella's the protagonist).

These are who I have for teachers:
Jane Porter- English
Jafar Magic -Science-*picks on Aladdin*
Merlin History-history
Ursula Landvik -gym class/swimming coach *picks on Ariel*
Roger Radcliffe –music
Anita Radcliffe -home Ec.?

Here is the problem with most people on Merida: she's selfish and wanted to change her mom. I can agree with that yes, but she changed and genuinely apologized in the end. Now I'm not going to bring up Ariel, they are very different but comparing them makes me look desperate. You're free to disagree, we all have opinions.
Though yes. I'm aware an articolo like this has just been written but the autore is fine with it, I've been Scrivere this for the past two days.

I used to hate the idea of Ribelle - The Brave and Merida herself. I thought there was no possible way she would become my preferito o beat Rapunzel,...

Hi, everyone! Haven't written an articolo in awhile, and I thought I'd get back into it. I've missed doing them. This is an articolo about my preferito princesses, which I have done, but it keeps changing, so give me a break. lol. I'm going to do my preferito couples next. I'd like to give honorable mention to DreamyGal, who inspired me to start working on that article. But right now, I'll just go with this, because I'm having trouble ranking the pairings, haha....anyways, enjoy! No rude commenti please.

So I wanted to rank my preferito animazione in the films, but I find it hard comparing hand-drawn and CGI since they're so different, so I just decided to make one for hand-drawn. I think all of the Disney films have amazing animazione and each film has a unique animazione that really makes the film special. So, let's get started!

9. Beauty and the Beast

WHAT?!?! Yes, Beauty and the Beast is last. It was really tough deciding between my ninth, eighth, and seventh place, but I ultimately went with BatB as last. Yes, some scenes are extremely beautiful (the ballroom scene), but the rest of the animation...
