It is Mothers giorno so I did a countdown sondaggio for the best DP Mother. I am a little tired but want to finish this tonight so I am not going to get as detailed as I wanted. Let us get started with the worst Mother.

#13 Queen Grimmhilde

Snow Whites Step mother was a horrible woman who most likely killed her husband, was standoffish and uppity to her step-daughter, and eventually went from ignoring the child to wanting her dead when the girl became too "pretty".

"Definitely! At least Tremaine and Gothel has no plans to kill their stepdaughters. Plus she treated Snow White as a rat, dress her like one! I think she really is not a TRUE MOTHER o STEPMOTHER, she is just a GREEDY woman who will do EVERYTHING just to GET what she WANTS!"GreatLance_30

"She tried to kill Snow White! She's basically a crazy woman. A true mother would never kill her daughter just because she's prettier than her."MissAngelPaws

"Its either her o Lady Tremaine, but I voted fro Grimhilde because she wanted her stepdaughter dead and wanted her cuore back. She seemed a lot più distant compared to Tremaine, and did not even care about her stepfather. It seems like she took the titolo the queen, stripped practically all of Snow's royal advantages and used them for herself. The kingdom looks like it is a step away from ruins and being broke. She does not care for Snow at all"Jayden-G

#12 Lady Tremaine

Once again another Step Mother who ignored her step child and treated her like a servant and most likely killed the father as well. But unlike the evil Queen she did not try to physically kill Cenerentola but instead tried to kill the child's soul with emotional and mental trauma.

"She uses her children to be of higher status, abuses her stepdaughter, and wastes her ex-husband's fortune on her and her children to upper themselves. She has no Amore in her heart"Jayden-G

"Like I detto before, Lady Tremaine got of on making Cinderella's life a living hell and probably was worse to her when she was younger, also very spiteful for encouraging her daughters to imitate her hateful behaviour against Cinderella."LatinoLollipops

"Well, how can I put this... she's a bitch."alexon31

# 11 Mother Gothel

This woman "faked" being a good, loving mother when in reality she had kidnapped a child and was lying to her daily so that she would never leave her. SHe also tore down Rapunzels self-esteem and made her feel weak all so Gothel could stay young forever.

"Mother Gothel continuously abused Rapunzel inflicting her with verbal pressure and planting immense insecurities in her head (due to systematically and methodically pointing out non-existent flaws related to Rapunzel’s personality o appearance, i.e “chubby”, “immature”, “clumsy”, etc) on a level so profound that Rapunzel was not physically but MENTALLY incapable of leaving her tower being deliberately misled and misguided da harmful and damaging information regarding the outside world and herself, coming to believe that in addition to people being inherently evil and cunning according to the only fonte information exposed to her - Gothel - SHE was also not worthy o skilled enough to face them and not be used and “eaten up alive” due to presumed incapability to handle herself - all of it essentially linking back to Gothel’s intention to exploit Rapunzel - and not even Rapunzel herself but her powers seeing as it was literally the only aspect Gothel truly cared about and invested in - for as long as possible, keeping Rapunzel sheltered and maintaining the illusion of happiness being limited to the walls of her tower/prison and drawing supplies that Gothel provided her with in order to keep busy and make sure she refrains from making attempts to break away from this excessively unhealthy environment. If there was any human/genuine feeling that Gothel ever developed for Rapunzel it had più to do with unreasonable obsession (not Amore let alone any kind of motherly affection) defined da her attachment to Rapunzel’s hair that possessed a quality of restoring her youth and prolonging her life, which, once again, was related to Gothel herself and her personal selfish goals rather than Rapunzel. Had there been a semblance of Amore Gothel would not have physically attacked Rapunzel (not to say physical assault is the extent of abuse that surpasses systematic mental torment dato that both are admittedly disturbing and thoroughly destructive in terms of affecting person’s psyche, just addressing another dimension of Rapunzel/Gothel relationship) putting chains on her at the first sign of rebellion and essential desire to live her life rather than being subjected to isolation and subsequently stabbing a man Rapunzel loved right in front of her. None of it can be classified da anything even remotely close to love."maryksand

# 10 Ariel

i am actually surprised she is down so low, I never personally saw her as a bad mother. Yeah she was distracted and did not handle Melodies temper tantrums very well, but she got exactly what she deserved. She was a horrible selfish daughter to Triton and in turn got it double back.

"I'm sorry, but she is a terrible mother. Starting with attacking Not-Ursula while she has Baby-Melody in her arms (she could neither know that the beam wouldn't hit Melody herself, not trust that Eric would be able to catch Melody before something happens to her), over building a giant bacheca around the castello instead of, te know, explaining to Melody in what kind of danger she is, and then not even noticing that her daughter is swimming around in the castello all the time (never mind that Not-Ursula could perhaps had the power to come to land - Ursula could). Forcing her daughter to participate in a birthday party with other children who tease her, instead of doing something Melody would like isn't exactly motherly, either. It's Melody's birthday after all, she should spend the giorno how she likes it."Swanpride

"She hided from Melody the truth about herself, it's like she lied to her. And she behaved like an hypocrite, she forbade her daughter to know about the world of Atlantica, like she was forbidden to know about the human world da her own father."Popcornfan

#9 Naveen's Mother

I don't think she was a horrible mom, but we do not see much of her and based on Naveen she most likely had the servants actually raise him. Yeah she cut him off when he got too out of control but where was she when he started recitazione this way?

"She spoiled her son rotten, then cut his access to their money completely off, leaving him to fend for himself without the riches he grew used to. Yeah, nice parenting, there."TheCrystalRing

"I Amore her and I Amore Naveen, but I think she's not a good mother to spoil her son."LightningRed

"Naveen detto that she had the servants read to him every night- why didn't she read to him? The six anno old seems cute, though."rhythmicmagic

#8 Queen Elinor

I do not agree with her leaving so early and thought other mothers should be lower then her. She was a loving mother who only wanted what was best for her daughter and country. She was not only a mom and wife but a Queen too. I respect her for sticking to her pistole but also being caring and understanding. She should have handled the boys better though, they were horrible little heathens.

"She's a good mother, but she's sometimes too obsessed with what must be done, instead of listening and reasoning with her daughter's desires."BelleAnastasia

"She has bad communication skills with Merida and chooses no to her what Merida is saying (Merida is doing the same thing to her). Also, she lets her sons gallivanting and act a fool all over the kingdom. Clearly she can not discipline her children."Jayden-G

"She was a good mother, but she should have at least listened to what Merida had to say. Even if she didn't feel there was anything she could do about it, she could have at least discussed the laws with Merida and tried to explain them to her. Children are much less likely to rebel if they at least understand the logic behind the rules they must follow."rhythmicmagic

# 7 Fa Li

I don't think she is bad, others wanted her gone sooner. She was a caring mother and most likely wished she could have done più for her daughter.

"She is a good mother, and ultimately does not mind Mulan's oddness (which in that time would have been something the average parent would hate to see in her daughter- after all, a girl is only worth the man she can get in marriage.) Fa Li supported her daughter and never tried to change o undermine her (unlike Elinor, who constantly undermined Merida,) and that is especially uncommon for a time when a girl was worth the husband she married. However, Fa Li still is a bit too concerned with Mulan's societal duties and acceptances for me to think it fair she makes it più than a couple rounds past Elinor."rhythmicmagic

"She cares a bit too much about the societal view in her own daughter, and she does not seem very proactive in raising her daughter. What I mean about that is that she is a bit passive and Fa Zhou and his mother are the ones who makes all the choices and says what needs to be said. She kind of sits back" Jayden-G

#6 Grandmother Fa

We never see her do any mothering and I personally thought she would have been lower on the good mother list, like maybe #7 o 8.

"Being a mother is not one of the first things that come to mind when I think about her, so..." AllegroGiocoso

#5 Queen Athena

We really know nothing about her and I have no feelings about her at all.

"She chose to save a Musica box over being with her husband and daughters. A good mother would've chose to return to her family over something as stupid as this. One of the things I hate about Ariel's Beginning was the way they had Athena die, it made her look so stupid." KataraLover

#4 Mrs. Potts

I always thought she was a good mother but then some good points about her not keeping up with her own kid was brought up.

"She does not acknowledge her other kids, but Chip, and does not notice that he left the castle" Jayden-G

"Only pays attention to Chip- and even he escapes her attention" rhythmicmagic

#3 Queen Leah

She made the ultimate sacrifice of giving up her daughter so the child would be safe. But I never got a motherly vibe from her when her daughter was back and to me she did not seem overly maternal when she was able to hold her daughter again.

"It's a hard decision, because Leah made the hardest decision of all of them, giving up her child out of love. But considering that there were also plans to marry Aurora off più o less immediately after she was back - well, Leah wasn't the mastermind behind it, but nevertheless, a little bit più consideration for Aurora's feeling all around would have been nice." Swanpride

"She doesn't have a lot of interaction with her daughter, so it's hard to decide how good of a mother she is." BelleAnastasia

#2 Rapunzel's Mom

We do not get to see much of her and her poor child was stolen from her early on. But the emotion coming from her when she saw her child at the end did it in for me. A lot of people questioned her lack of looking for her child though.

"Both are good but Eudora is a very supportive mother and deserves to win the countdown IMO. I think maybe Rapunzel's mother/father should have actually searched più for their daughter, instead of just hoping she would return. I don't have much bad to say about Eudora's parenting skills."Mongoose09

"This is hard for me, because both are awesome, We Don't see Rapunzel mom with her daughter that much and second, Eudora was da her daughter's side almost all the time. I disagree on what a lot of people were saying about how come Rapunzel's mom didn't stop Gothel from kidnapping her daughter, she just had a baby, te don't see that many just out of labor women jumping out of letto to do stuff like jump a kidnapper and plus she did do something about Flynn Rider stealing the crown she send guards after him. But Eudora just had più screen time which is why I see her as a better mother." princecatcher93

#1 Eudora

Everyone seem to agree Eudora was the best mother. She was caring, loving, supportive, and complessivamente, generale truly cared for Tiana and raised her right.

"Eudora is so supportive, caring, not suffocating at all. She deserves to win."Popcornfan

"Eudora on the other hand was a mother through difficult times. What bothers me a little bit about her is that she keeps nagging Tiana about Grandchildren, instead of being happy for her being so close to her dream - and apparently didn't even notice that Tiana was gone."Swanpride

"Both are good but Eudora is a very supportive mother and deserves to win the countdown IMO. I think maybe Rapunzel's mother/father should have actually searched più for their daughter, instead of just hoping she would return. I don't have much bad to say about Eudora's parenting skills."Mongoose09

Hi guys, since Frozen has took the world da storm, this articolo is basically about my initial impressions about the story-line, the songs and music, as well as the art and characters' designs back in 2003, 10 years before the movie that took the world da storm.

The Story

When I first heard that Disney was going to adapt the Snow Queen, my first impression was that it was going to be faithful towards the original story da Hans Christian Anderson. Secondly, I thought that it was about 2 sisters who one of them discover to have ice powers, according to a prophecy, were separated since they were...

Hi everyone!

In this article, I’m going to compare two Film from the Disney Revival, one revolving around a Lost princess with magical golden hair, and the other revolving around two sisters, one of whom is a Queen with ice powers.

Part A.    Which is the "better" movie?

Tangled has a più cohesive plot and seems to me to have deeper characters that interact superbly with each other. Emotions and thoughts were successfully conveyed with an abundance of facial expressions. The hair animazione was astounding, but the skin and eyes could sometimes seem plastic-like o lifeless....

12) The Princess and the Frog
I'm not positive but I think this has a somewhat large fanbase on Fanpop? Even if it doesn't, I don't think that I'll ever adore this film. I'll start with the positives. I Amore Down in New Orleans and basically the whole beginning. When Tiana is human, it's actually very entertaining. I adore Lottie, and it just is, for lack of better word, better during this part of the film. It's funnier and much, much less obnoxious. I like Facilier and Tiana and Naveen is hilarious at times, but the secondo half of the film...oh lord. It's so annoying...half the time I can't...

This is my ranking of the princes. This is probably going to be one of my harder articoli so please don't be rude.

12. Hans- I can't even describe how much I dislike this character. I hate the idea that the handsome prince has to be a jerk. One of the things I really hate about Frozen is that it mocks the Amore at first sight of the Walt era princess films. Yes te don't marry a guy te just met but I think most people are smart enough to know that, it's just common sense, yes there is no such thing as Amore at first sight but that's because they're fairytales and fairytales aren't suppose to...

“Rapunzel” is the kind of story that consistently ranks highly in people’s lists of their preferito fairy tales. With a dramatic plot, interesting characters, symbolic motifs, and the underlying theme of the redeeming power of love, the tale certainly seems to deserve such adoration. Grimm’s version of the story is perhaps the most known retelling,
 Grimm's Rapunzel
Grimm's Rapunzel
although that may have changed as of 2010 with Disney’s adaptation, Tangled, a movie just as rife with symbolism as its literary inspiration. Although both are variations on the Rapunzel narrative, Disney’s movie veers...

After seeing Sweetie94's prettiest Disney princess list, I wanted to make one of mine as well. I'm not really a fan of the beauty of modern princesses, I find them rather too doll types, somehow. So they are all ranking low on my list. Hope you'll enjoy it, here it goes:

13. Elsa:
Eh, are her eyes for real? Way too big on her face and her lips are so thin. She does have that Barbie doll kind of look to her. She has an unbalanced face proportion, her upper portion of face is too big as compared to the lower portion and that gives her an unnatural look, imo. I quite like her hair though, snow blonde,...

Last time I wrote this lista Ribelle - The Brave and Frozen hadn't been released so now I'll write this lista with them included, hope you'll like it

12. Pocahontas

This scene is amazing to look at, no wonder many people loves this ending, but why is it then last on my list? While it's an amazing scene to look at it isn't a happy ending, normally I don't mind it, but Disney is known for making happy endings so honestly if this movie was made da another company and was live action I probably would Amore the ending more

11. Mulan

This ending starts off great with Mulan reuniting with her father and Shang...

So here is the Part 2 to my musical countdown: Scores. I Amore Disney Musica and I honestly Amore the scores over the songs. They have all of the "magic Disney" feel that I absolutely adore. Also, I Amore how the scores can provide a blend of the different songs from it's respective films as well as stir up all of the emotions and/or memories from it's respective scene(s). For those reasons, this lista was much harder for me to make than Part 1: Songs, but I managed to finish! As I mentioned before, I cannot get enough from the musical team of Alan Menken and Howard...

So many times have I heard that Disney Princess Film are for little girls who wish upon a fairy godmother, want to be rescued da a handsome prince and live happily ever after. This is so not true and doubt all those who have opinions like this, if they have ever watched any DP movie seriously. So here's my 5 reasons why adults should consider Disney Princess Film as serious entertainment

5. animazione Art:
Any adult who have serious interest in animazione art will not only enjoy the ever-evolving animazione style from Disney studio but will find that animazione in these Film are top-notch....

Ok so I saw a talented user here post an articolo about the Bechdel Test and being the Walt geek that I am, was immediately inspired to do a Walt Disney Test.

Walt Disney was unfortunately only alive to fully see over the production and release of Snow White, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty which are known as the "Classic Princesses". For this reason, I took everything in common that I could find with these 3 princesses for relevancy to rate the others. The 14 commonalities I found were: 1.) Beautiful Face 2.) In Shape Body 3.) Soft/Sweet Speaking Voice 4.) Canto Voice 5.) Dance Scene [Solo...

Tiana- The Under-rated

When Princess and the Frog came out it got people talking. Not only is Tiana a trailblazer for being the first African American Princess, but she was the first princess to independently have jobs and dedication to pursue a realistic career, I get that not every little girl dreams of having a business and they’d rather have the sparkly toga, abito but I had hopes that Tiana would inspire them to come up with realistic goals. But .......she was not as loved as I thought . Also , some people ( SOME ONLY ) dislike her for her color tone !!!!!!!

Mulan- The Very Underrated

Now , she...

What if all of the Disney Princesses were American and lived in American cities? Which ones would they choose to live in? (*Note, I comprised this lista of where they would want to live as a free choosing adult, not where they would have been born and raised. That is another list.)

Snow White: Phoenix, Arizona
Because there is a large elderly population there so Snow could help them like she did the dwarves. She is also a conservative princess that I think would enjoy living out under the stars in a più traditional place.

Cinderella: Minneapolis-St.Paul, Minnesota
Because it is a city rich...
