Most of te who have just read the titolo of this articolo are probably thinking in your heads, "Yes," o "oh hell yeah!" o something like that. Well before te jump to that answer, hear me out. Last night, I had a dream that was related to the scene in Rapunzel - L'intreccio della torre where Rapunzel confronts Gothel and while I was sleeping in, it got me thinking. Yes, what Gothel did to Rapunzel was wrong, but I'm not sure if she completely qualifies as a villain.....per say. Let me explain.
First of all, unlike the other Disney Villains (with the exception of Frollo) Gothel isn't really interested in world domination o revenge o conquest any of that stuff. She only wants to live forever. And the fiore was helping her do that. That is unti the king took it from her and gave to the Queen and then it rubbed off on Rapunzel. See basically, this all happened because the Queen got sick and the king had to use the fiore to make her feel better and once the power transferred to Rapunzel, Gothel had to take her to keep herself alive and young. If the Queen hadn't gotten sick, this probably wouldn't have happened.

Second, most villains would kill the main characters' parents, Gothel did not do that. She only took Rapunzel from her parents. Yeah, that was wrong, but at the very least, she kept her parents alive.

Third, most villains would torture and imprison characters like Rapunzel and make them as slaves. Gothel did not do that. She gave her a home, a roof over her head, fed her, clothed her and nurtured her. She also did a damn good job of taking care of her hair! Yeah, it was for selfish reasons, but she took good care of it nonetheless. And Rapunzel turned out to be a fine girl. te mean to tell me that in between those 12+ years, Rapunzel turned out that way on her own without Gothel at least trying to teach her right from wrong? I don't think so.....well maybe a little bit, BUT THE POINT IS!! For those many years, Rapunzel had a very good life and turned out good herself and one could argue that it's all because of Gothel.

Fourth, in terms of the other Disney Villains. I don't really think Gothel would be so quick to unisciti them. Like I detto before, she's not really interesting in world conquest o eliminated people o seeking revenge on someone. The only person she ever tried to kill in the movie was Flynn and that was because she was trying to take Rapunzel away from her. Other than that, Gothel doesn't seem like a murderer.

Fifth, I believe that Gothel may have a deep dark past that made her the way she is. She probably doesn't because a story like this could be based on vanity and selfishness rather than tragedy, but on the other hand, she could because there are a number of stories that could come from this. Maybe Gothel didn't want to die because she was in a large family and all her loved ones were either killed o died from mysterious diseases? That's the best one I can think of. Maybe there should be a Rapunzel - L'intreccio della torre short where Rapunzel goes back to the tower and finds something from Gothel's past and wants to know more. Plus, let's face it, death is something we all are afraid of, even if we don't want to admit it. I'm afraid of it and I know a lot of te are afraid of it too. The fear of death can cause us to do desperate things and Gothel is no exception.

So with that being said, maybe Gothel is in ways a 'villain' but in other ways, I don't think she is. Her motives, yes, they are selfish and trying to keep Rapunzel away from the world, that's wrong, but I can't help but think that if things had gone differently in movie like say, the King using something other than the fiore to heal his wife, the power would not have been transferred to Rapunzel and Gothel would not have taken her. Gothel is one of those "what if" villains where they're only villains because of certain events that happen in the movie. So while what Gothel did to Rapunzel and her motives for doing it were wrong, I can't entirely peg her as a villain.

Okay, since Disney had adapted Sleeping Beauty in 1959 and used Tchaikovsky's Musica for the film. In 1994, Richard Rich a former Disney animator, adapted it under the name as The cigno Princess. Here are my thoughts on whether o not Disney should do The cigno Lake.

Disney Should Adapt It

I personally think that Disney should adapt this story, although the majority of ballet companies have tragic endings. Some of them have a happy ending, including the 1994 animated version. The only problem is the music, whether o not to keep traditions with Disney's Sleeping Beauty.

Disney Should Not Adapt It

As mentioned, I had listened to the famous piece from this ballet. Sadly to say, the Musica are dark, dramatic and sinister for a Disney film. Considering that it is a family-friendly environment!

To Be o Not To Be?

So there te have it, do te think Disney should adapt it o not?

 Enchantress in disguise!
Enchantress in disguise!
Hi guys, I did a sondaggio earlier and a sudden realisation about the Enchantress had struck me. So, I will write an interesting theory about her!

Beauty and the Beast

We first seen her in the Prologue as an old woman, when Prince Adam spurned her. Her true nature is shown and in retaliation, she turned him into a beast and tells him that only true loves can redeem him inside, as well as the outside.

Cinderella (2015)

Upon re-watching this, I just found out that the Fairy Godmother is actually the Enchantress herself. Only this time, when she turns into her true self, she changes her appearance and that she must have been watching Ella the whole time, I suspect that she doesn't want Ella to suspect that her beloved Fairy Godmother might have cursed Prince Adam!

Do te Agree?

I was really surprise da this theory, considering that it is set in France! o is it just another Disney doppelganger?

Princess Anna and Queen Elsa got invited to a fancy party. Elsa made sure that she and Anna dressed fancy.

Anna detto "This outfit is uncomfortable." Anna's dress was warm, long, and she had a mildly hard time breathing.

Elsa detto "It's meant to be fancy."

Anna detto "It's too fancy."

Elsa detto "Nothing can be too fancy."

Anna detto "Whatever."

Elsa detto "You better be on your best behavior."

Anna detto "I'll try, but I can't promise te anything."

Anna and Elsa went to the party. Alice Kingsleigh was there. She was a ship captain who saved Underland. She was wearing her ship captain outfit.

Anna...

Hi guys, since there was a sondaggio about these 2 movies. It would be interesting if I were to compare both movies.

Pocahontas

Okay, many of te all know about her real-life story. However, in the Disney adaptation of her life. She first set eyes on John Smith, to whom she will save later on in the movie.
When I watched this film again, they remind me of both Maria & Tony due to the fact that they are of different ethnicity and difficult complications arose when both parties declare war with each other.
During the fight between John Smith & Kocuum, the scene resembles to the Rumble between...

Unlike the first two she is not a slave, but must hide from malifecent in the forest. Her dress is a black superiore, in alto with grey sleeves, a black gonna and a black headband. Sometimes she will have a light brown head cover. Despite her bright blonde hair this is a dark dress for her but it fits well. It is a not a dress for a princess to though but that...

Are te ready for redemption, Hans?
Are you ready for redemption, Hans?
Okay, an idea had just struck me. Since the sequel will be coming soon, here are my thoughts on why should Hans be redeem o not if he makes an appearance again.

He Should Redeem Himself

When I first watch the movie, I started to have a crush on him until he turn into the dark side. However upon being expose, he was arrested and ship back to the 7 Isles so that his brothers could punish him.
In Frozen Fever, he was doing community service until Elsa let out a giant snowball and hit him! I personally think that from that minor scene, I felt that he should redeem himself anyway, because he finally...

My final articolo in the wedding theme series is for the Revival Era princesses. I wish to extend this series to Disney heroines as well but I'm not sure right away, maybe i'll just do one with Anna and Elsa. Anyways, here are my thoughts on wedding ideas for our modern princesses.

Rapunzel: The Blooming Bride
Her sunny and cheerful disposition makes her a perfect spring bride. I'd Amore to give her a giorno wedding decorated with burst of wild blossoms, capturing her warmth and energy both. The air will be filled with a riot of fragrance and decor will host bright and joyful fiori in all shapes...
