The Countdown I'm Hoping to Do *Please read if te plan to participate!

All righty, so about a week fa I postato a sondaggio asking which countdown people wanted me to do. The winning pick was "Which DP movie is the most accurate compared to its original fairytale?" Now as much as I Amore this idea, I'm incredibly wary to do it as a countdown because I'm worried the results won't be accurate. Many people think they know the original fairytales, but there are countless versions of each of them out there, meaning that if we wanted the countdown to work, everyone would have to read the same versions. This means that everyone who participated would have to read 10 fairytales, which takes a lot longer than te might expect. (I read the original Little Mermaid and it took me at least half an hour, and I'm someone who's generally considered a quick reader.) I would still really like to do this countdown, but it's up to te if te want to put the effort in to make it work. And don't worry, I'll find the original fairytales and post them in a commento under each poll.

So, my fellow Disney Princess lovers, are te interested enough in this countdown to take some time out of your busy lives to read 10 fairytales, thus making the results of the sondaggio accurate? te can answer this domanda in link.

PociandSmith I don't think everyone has the spare time to read the whole fairy tales but I've found their summaries. I'd really love a countdown like that. But, there's a problem. With Pocahontas, well...it's compilcated. Since she was a real person and not a fairy tale, there are lots of theories on her life. Historicians are not sure about many aspects of her life, there are even conspiracy theories about her being poisoned or raped, so we have to agree which version we should read. Even if it is true or not, I think we should read the one that's taught in schools. Swanpride I'm actually well versed in fairy tales....but I also don't think that every participant has to read all of them, because when the arguing starts, the main differences will come up either way.

princecatcher93 I read them all so I can do it. But I don't think there is one for Brave or at least one that I have read.

Swanpride There isn't one...Brave is based on an original story, so I guess it should be excluded from this one...

Jayden-G I have read the basic summaries of each fairytale, the life of Pocahontas and Mulan. Yeah, Brave would have to not be in this one because it is an original, and is not based off a specific story

I have a website that has several of the originals as well: http://www.surlalunefairytales.com/ and I've read through most of them. People should check out that website too, if only because It's an incredibly interesting analysis of all of them. And yeah, I wasn't planning on including Brave since it's not based off of a fairytale.

dclairmont I've never read any of the fairy tales, but I'll try to read summaries, and when the countdown starts, comments, so I'll be at least some what well versed.

Let me make one thing clear before te even start Leggere my list, from least pretty to prettiest. These are just my personal opinions which I thought I'd share with y'all since I think I have a somewhat unique interpretation of beauty on this site. Anyway, don't hate. Here goes.

9. Mulan

I Amore this girl. She's my secondo fave princess. But let's be honest, the animators didn't put as much effort into emphasizing her beauty as they did with the others. Which is actually a good thing. It shows that we can Amore a princess for her inner beauty even if she is più on the plain-looking side....

It has been discussed enough...and why is that " if it makes her human" which I strongly disagree with, because most people know that being selfish is a bad thing. The Prince was turned into a Beast because he was " cruel selfish and unkind" and those three traits go together. People in general are not selfish-if they are its a big turn off, and Ariel is not selfish, she wanted something più out of life , something that we all have wanted.
