Principesse Disney Article: Beast's/Adam's Mysteries

Does anyone find it weird that Beast/Adam was eleven when the spell was put on him? I mean the spell detto that on his twenty first birthday the fiore would loose it's last petal and in the song Be Our Guest Llumiere says that they'd been rusting for ten years. Isn't it strange that he changed his mind on letting her in based on her looks as an eleven anno old? Even più so that he was the one who answered the door? Where were and are his parents? I know this is short but does anyone have any theories on these ideas?

Beauty and The Beast
The actual story was written my a french author. Beauty(Belle) was rich and had snobby siblings. Her father Lost his job, and was finding his living. He stubbled upon a rose, and reminded him of Beauty. He plucked, and there is this Beast he's like "That rose is mine!" and then punishes him! So the father goes back and tells Beauty. She loves her father very much, and she wants to takes his place. In fact, the beast is perfectly fine with that. They grow Amore over time, and Beauty gets a letter. One of her sisters are getting married.She wants do go so the beast lents her...

"Father," The beautiful young princess said. "Don't put the wrong idea in their head." Three little boys looked up at her with sad eyes.
"Oh Lizzie," her father said. "A little magic never hurt anyone. Now boys, on with my story. The fiore has never been seen but maybe one day, one of te will find it."
"Really Papa?" Asked the middle boy who was about seven o eight asked.
