Author's Note: Remember the preview? So here is the first chapter of Seldom What They Seem, my Sleeping Beauty Fanfiction. It was originally named Once Upon a Dream, but I wanted a più original name. Enjoy!

Briar Rose laughed as her prince spun her around. Then he playfully pulled her to the ground. She fell atop him, her hands in his broad chest. Her laughter died as her thoughts became Lost in those handsome features. A strong chin, a long neck and a defined body.

His hair was a honeyed brown, but his eyes were a Cioccolato brown. But the best thing were the lips. They looked so.. kissable.

"I Amore you,"she whispered.

He ran a gentle hand over the side of her face, framed da a mane of long golden curls.

"I Amore te too, my sweet princess," he told her, their eyes, brown and violet, locked in each other's.

Briar Rose's cheeks flushed a shade of pink. She wasn't a princess, she had told him that many times, but he insisted in calling her that.

"You're far più gentle, kind and intelligent than any princess I've ever met," he would always tell her, cupping her face. "And far più beautiful, too."

Entranced da each other, the two innamorati leaned forward, their needy lips barely brushing. Their eyes fluttered until their eyes were closed, and their hearts beat so loudly they could hear each other's heartbeat.

Then...

Briar Rose's viola irises shot open. Astonished, she took in her surroundings: a wooden ceiling, some fairytale libri lined in a shelf and a blue blanket covering her from waist-down.

Rose groaned, turning in her bed. It had been only a dream. Always only a dream. But it seemed so real, and they were so close...

Sighing melancholic, Rose sat up in the bed, throwing the blanket away. There is no use in crying over diviso, spalato milk, Aunt Flora would always say. And after all, she thought with a smug smile, today is my birthday.

Canto the tune of the melody of her dreams, she twirled to the door. A quick glance at the vanity reminded her how she was dressed: her golden hair was woven in a braid over her right shoulder, and her petite frame easily fit in the green nightgown with pizzo trimming she was wearing.

She walked down the stairs with grace, and as soon as her bare feet touched the wooden floor, her senses were captivated da a delicious smell.

Rose looked at the kitchen's side of the lower floor. Aunt Flora and Aunt Fauna were setting the tavolo with cutlery. Aunt Merryweather, perched in a stoll, mixed a great pot of something with a wooden spoon.

"Good morning, my three dears," Rose greeted them merrily.

The three women looked up from their work and greeted her unenthusiastically, something not usual of them.

Ah, playing the old game of pretending they forgot my birthday, are we?, thought Rose, smirking.

"And what is my Aunt Merryweather cooking that is smelling so delicous?" she asked, walking over to Merryweather.

"Porridge," replied the shortest of the aunts. She then served four bowls of porridge, one for each of them.

Rose chatted happily with her aunts, like they did every morning. They talked about the flowers, the animals, that time Rose took care of a bird with a broken wing and made plans of having a picnic in the woods that Saturday.

When the meal was over, her aunts occupied themselves in washing the dishes, while Rose went upstairs. Canto to herself, she undid her braid and shook her flowing curls. Twirling to one side of the room, she slipped out of her nightgown and choose a outfit out of the chest where she kept her clothes.

The one she choose was one of simple style and neutral colors. It had a grey superiore, in alto with sleeves that reached her elbows and a darker grey, pleated gonna that reached her mid-calf. She wore her secondo pair of petticoats along with it, and then laced a black corset tightly over the top. The last thing she did was choose a black headband to keep her hair back.

"Now I have to do my chores", she thought, neither annoyed o excited da the thought. She knew it was something she had to do, o Aunt Flora would be upset with her. The last thing Rose desired was to make her aunts sad. She did everything she could to please them.

"But one giorno I'll have to go", she thought sadly. "I have the right to live my own life."

While she thought, she worked, making up her letto and dusting the room.

"But Rose," detto a tiny voice in her head, "you can't leave your poor old aunts after everything they did for you!"

"I know they mean well," she argued, "but they are too overprotective sometimes. I can't meet anyone. This life is becoming boring."

"You are being a selfish ingrate!" Cried the voice.

"No, I'm not", she contested, her detemination slipping with every word the voice said.

"But what if they become ill, o a stranger sneak into the cottage and..."

"Stop!" Rose cried. The tiny voice in her head was silenced at once and in the room only stood a panting Briar Rose, her chest heaving within the corset and a wiping rag clutched in her hand. Seating in the bed, Rose held her aching head. She would never be able to leave her aunts. She worried too much about them.

Now I want to rank DP wardrobes. First I will tell about my style preferences.

My preferito colors: purple, più o less every shade of blue( but especially turquoise) and green, pink, white, black, grey.

Using link my preferito styles are romantic and creative. My least preferito one is for sure trendy, I'd also say I'm mostly not a fan of dramatic. I have mixed feelings about classic style: I tend to dislike it in its purest form but I can like some elements of this style when they are combined with elements my preferito styles.

My preferito historical fashion eras: Renessaince, la Belle Epoque(...

Rapunzel - L'intreccio della torre is my preferito Disney movie for many reasons besides the wonderful storyline and beautiful imagery. I really relate to Rapunzel in so many ways. I try to be optimistic and see the beauty in the small things in life. I try to stay hopeful and occupy my time with many hobbies. I have so many interests and Amore learning about them and learning about the world and other cultures. We also share physical features, brown hair and green eyes, and prefer walking outside barefoot. I also have some German heritage, so I relate to her that way as well.

My mother also acts a lot like Mother Gothel....

While it hasn't been confirmed, various clues have pointed to Moana eventually joining the Disney Princess lineup. This process only involved 20+ users, which I think is a good thing, we'll save the BIG survey for after Moana's official coronation. That's why I didn't ask for commenti o use fancy pics. Since the pool of users is so small, I wouldn't say these results are absolute and concrete. This is just a small anteprima of where Moana as well as the other princesses stand.

12. Merida-178 points

To the surprise of literally no one, Merida is dead last. Often criticized da DP fan and...

10. Merida fighting Fergus and Elinor fighting Mor'Du

Merida fighting Fergus was a brief fight, it was just her stopping him from killing Elinor. The excitement doesn't really start until Mor'Du comes in and is getting ready to kill Merida then Elinor goes full on mama orso on him. The reason I like this scene so much...

We all know the tale as old as time that is Disney's 1991 animated film, Beauty and the Beast. It was a smash hit when it came out and was the first animated film in history to be nominated for best picture. It wasn't nominated for best-animated picture because that category didn't even exist back then, it was nominated for best picture PERIOD! It didn't win but that was still impressive because an animated film being nominated for best picture was absolutely unheard of. It's still a beloved classic to this giorno and for good reason. The animazione is gorgeous, the romance is amazing, the characters...

Your movie's advertising LIED to us!
First of all, this is an essay I had to do for my Advanced Composition class during the Spring semester, so this is a little bit più formal than how my articoli usually are.

Disney and Pixar’s movie Ribelle - The Brave is about a Scottish Princess named Merida that wants to be free of her arranged marriage and live her life without the responsibilities that come with being a princess. She and her mother, Queen Elinor, don’t see eye to eye because of Merida’s rebellious nature and Elinor preference of the traditional ways. When Merida fails to get her way she ends up buying a spell from a witch (Using...
