Hello everyone!
I'm ezilo25 and this is my very first articolo on this site! I wanted to do something special, and since I have read the Grimms Tale in German my whole life, I wanted to do a comparison of Disney movie adaptations and the Tales of Grimm. So, let's get started! Oh, and excuse me if I do grammatical
mistakes, I'm french, so please forgive me!

Cinderella

Oh, Cinderelli... I adore the Disney character, I am passionate about the animazione movie, but I am in Amore with Aschenputtel, the Grimms version of the Cinderella. Yes, I know, the movie is inspired da the Perrault version, which I also love, but since Aschenputtel influenced the making of the movie, I wanted to ad this one to the list, I thought it might interest you!
There are various differences between the two, the first one being the tone: indeed, Aschenputtel is such a cruel tale! First off, the father doesn’t die, he just treats poor Cindy just like the step family treats her: cruelly, completely denying her value. Plus, when the prince comes to seek the woman who Lost the shoe, the father initially doesn't want to let his daughter try the shoe on, stating, after he is asked whether there are other ladies in the house, that there is “only another little shriveled Cinderella” left in this house.
Furthermore, she doesn't have a fairy godmother: she plants a albero on her mother's grave with a seed her father brought back from his traveling, and she cries so much over the death of her mother that she waters the plant and a albero grows. Occasionally, a bird sets on a branch and grants her a wish. I've always imagined that it was the ghost of the mother.

The Grimms tale is also longer and più repetitive, since they are three consecutive ball nights, and every time the prince only dances with Cinderella. It can also be noted that the Grimms tale focuses rather on the maidens connection to birds, rather than mice, since they help her sort out the lentils from the ashes.

Cinderella wishing under the tree

Oh, I didn't mention? The stepmother punishes Cenerentola da pouring ashes and lentils in a bowl, and asking her to sort them out and the birds help her in that task.

A very important difference is also that the Prince comes to seek the woman he fell in Amore with, unlike in the movie, which is quite important, since it's a reproach that is often made to Prince Charming. Generally, he is più determined than in the movie, since he also covered the stairs to the castello with something called “Pech”, that I can't translate, it's some kind of kind of sticky mud...
He does that so Cenerentola won't escape, because, during the three nights, she first escapes da hiding in a large birdhouse, that the prince later has cut down, finding however the maiden has escaped, and the almost exact same thing happens the successivo night, Cenerentola finding refuge in a pera, corpo a pera tree, and escaping before the albero is chopped down.
Now, te might have heard that in the tale the sisters cut off bits of their feet to make them fit into the shoe, and that is true: one of the sisters cuts her big toe, and the other a part of her heel; both encouraged da their mother, who explains that once they are queens, they won't have to walk. And their feet fit, the Prince takes first the elder one on his horse, but he has to pass the albero over Cinderella's mother's grave, and the bird sings: “Ruke di look, rucke di look, blood is in the shoe: the shoe is too small, the real bride is still home” (It rimes in German), he takes the elder home, the youngest cuts her heel, the shoe fits, the Prince takes her on his horse, and they pass the tree, and the same thing happens again. But when Aschenputtel tries on the shoe, not only does it fit, but the Prince recognizes her, he takes her on his horse, and I will finish this Cenerentola part da the song the birds sing as they see her pass with the Prince:
“Rucke di look, rucke di look,
No blood in the shoe
The shoe is not too small,
The real bride, he brings home.”

The prince riding away with his Amore
The prince riding away with his love

That was all for today, successivo articolo will come out soon, I'm not sure exactly when... I will be handling “The Princess and the Frog”, o “Sleeping beauty” o “Tangled”, tell me which one te would prefer. I would like to do “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”, but I haven't seen it in ages, so I don't remember a lot of it... Could te please tell me if this articolo was too long, I'm sorry, I'm just so passionate about the Grimms Tales!

See te soon, au revoir!

7. spiaggia Rags

Big surprise. The outfit that is clearly meant to be a joke comes in last place. Do I really need to go into any explanation on this one? Although I vaguely remember a few randos saying that they thought it was cool. Why do I get the feeling those kids were the ones who ate glue and got stuffed into lockers in middle school? Moving on...

I get most people hate Pocahontas for its historical inaccuracy, and so do I. It just doesn't seem right to me to have John Smith (who was a Pervert, Betrayer, and Conquerer) as a Disney prince and looked at in such a angelic light. Since most people's agreement is "it's just a movie." And "it's not Disney's job to make teach history." I'm not asking for a historically accurate film that would be terrible for children. I'm stating it was a mistake to be made a BASED of real history story..it could have just been a random Native American but no they chose Pocahontas and they twisted and bent...

It was a fine giorno down in the South in New Orleans. Tiana and Naveen were at home enjoying their giorno off from Tiana's Palace. Tiana was fixing up some of her daddy's special gumbo for her and Naveen. As she was chopping the okra, Naveen came up behind her and wrapped his arms around Tia's waist. She looked beautiful: with her curly black hair pulled into a ponytail and a smile that was so contagious, Naveen couldn't help but smile too.
"Ma Belle Evangeline." Naveen sang softly into his wife's ear as he gently swayed Tiana's body.
"So far above me, yet I, know her cuore belongs to only me." Tiana...

First of all I want to make it clear that I think both are amazing characters and I Amore them to death. I'm going to keep an open mind about both of them when comparing them. They both have things that they did better than the other. So who's the better character? We'll just have to see.

What they have in common
I think it's fair to first mention what they have in common. They're both redheads, adventurous, curious, wild, whiny, selfish, have parent issues, rebellious, brave, heroic, free-spirited, make deals with witches, and of course cause a big mess with all their mistakes. Let's also not...

I still continuously see people remarking on Pocahontas "lack of personality." It has been a little più uncommon, but just for the other nonbelievers, I decided to write this. I know many will beg to differ, but it's just the way I see it. If te have any reason to disagree, go ahead and leave a comment. I'm up to defend her. XD Okay, I'll quit rambling on and actually start the article.

The Start

We first begin to see Pocahontas' personality in the very beginning. She leaves us with a lasting first impression. We can see how she is connected to nature from the very start. Seeing her jump off...

Since I'm a fan of the Harry Potter book series, I've decided to start a series of interpreting Disney characters into the Hogwarts Houses. I'll be doing all the princesses and princes, and maybe some side characters and villains. This article'll just be the Classic Princesses, since the descriptions are going to be pretty lengthy and I doubt te guys could handle Leggere another of my super long articles. If te don't like Harry Potter te might be a bit confused, but if te have basic knowledge of the houses you'll be fine. Oh, and all of this is just my opinion.

Also, just for reference,...

Dungeons & Draghi (or D&D for short) is a super fun tavolo, ripiano del tavolo roleplaying game that's been around since the 1970s but has recently gained a fair bit of popularity. I've been playing the game for around eight years at time of writing, and I strongly recommend te give it a try if te ever get the chance. It's really an absolute blast! D&D has always been one of my preferito hobbies, but within the last two years it's become an even bigger part of my life. Since I've been having so much fun with it recently, I decided it was finally time to try something I'd always wanted to do: turning...
