I used to give into the hype and I still like her but I've recently realized that she's not that strong o effective of a villain. I've never seen the Angelina Jolie live action movie and quite honestly I don't think I ever will. This is all based on the original Sleeping Beauty.

Now, Maleficent definitely has the classic villain personality (sinister, petty, arrogant) and aesthetic. (she can turn into a dragon, and green fuoco is cool) She's one of the most quotable and meme-able villains in all of Disney. In fact, I think she's the one who really perfected the look and feel of a "Disney Villain" within the classic era, but while she has the look and she definitely talks the talk, I don't think she really walks the walk.

When I look down the lista of horrific things Disney villains have done, she kinda comes up a bit short. Ursula has enslaved dozens, Shan Yu has killed thousands, The Evil Queen, Tremaine and Gothel's have inflicted deeply traumatic abuse onto their respective princesses. Maleficent hardly does anything of that caliber. I mean Aurora had to live in seclusion because of her but that wasn't directly Maleficent's doing (actually it just made Aurora harder for her to find) and Aurora's living situation really isn't all that bad to be honest.

Maleficent's not really one for clever plots and scheming either, the closest thing to that is when she captures Phillip. Outside of that, she only ever manages to do stuff right whenever the fate make a mistake. The reason her corvo found where Aurora lived was because of Flora and Merryweather's pink/blue magic duel. Let's not forget it took her sixteen years to accomplish that one goal. And the only reason she finally got Aurora to prick her finger on the spindle is because the fate stopped watching for a minute. Honestly, Ursula, Jafar and even Gaston seem più cunning than Maleficent.

Her magic doesn't seem all that effective either. In addition to the fact that her spells can easily be weakened and flat out thwarted da the fairies, even Aurora seemed to able to resist her mind control to some extent. Once Merryweather lightened the curse, Aurora was never in any real mortal danger. As for kidnapping and fighting Phillip, Maleficent did seem like a real threat in that instance but with the fairies' help, he pretty much resolved that problem rather quickly.

All of this really just brought me to the conclusion that as long as Flora, Fauna and Merryweather were around, everyone was pretty much sicuro, cassetta di sicurezza from Maleficent's wrath. It's almost weird that the fate are afraid of her, considering they hardly break a sweat dealing with her. I mean, even going off their stories about her, the worst thing she's ever done is....ruin their flowers? That just makes Maleficent sound più annoying rather than dangerous, and going off of what we actually see in the film, it seems fairly accurate.

"Mistress of all evil"? Mistress of pettiness o mistress of being a nuisance maybe, but I don't know about all evil. Don't get me wrong, she is an entertaining character, her charisma makes her fun to watch. Is she an actually intimidating and effective villain though? I don't think so.

Who is the girliest of them all?
Who is the girliest of them all?
Some people dibattito over this but here's my opinion. da the way I think all the princesses are feminine, if they weren't they wouldn't be added to the lineup.

1.Tomboy/10.Girly Girl-Pocahontas
In my opinion, she's the most tomboyish. She's the only princess I'd describe as masculine. She climbs trees, she jumps off cliffs and she's very athletic. Pocahontas' playful and mischievious in a boyish way. She prefers to go off playing in the woods rather doing her people's equivalent of housework. The thing is, when Pocahontas does these tomboyish things, she's doing them da choice. All the rough stuff...

Kida is about eighty eight hundred years old but doesn't look a giorno over 22.

15. Poor Kida. Her film was considered second-rate Disney da most and her looks don't get much appreciation either. To her credit, Kida is one of the most unique princesses in appearance and personality....

As te may already of noticed I am a bit of a fan of the Disney Princesses and their films. One aspect about these films that I find really interesting is the kingdoms in which their stories take place, including the buildings and the general surroundings. So I decided to write an articolo discussing each Princesses kingdom. In this articolo I am looking at Walt Disney's princesses ie. the original three.

So this had been hilariously enjoyable and challenging for me! Doing a silly articolo can be totally fun, but be sure to respect my opinion, okay? Admit it o not, we all have some guilty pleasures. What if Disney princesses lived in the MODERN giorno world and had some guilty pleasure? It would be hella awesome to know about it! P.S. = Those memes are JUST FOR FUN

Snow White – Sneaking into Cibo and being a comfort lover

Yup! Ah, taking a tid bit out of refrigerator is something pretty naughty and silly and mischievous! I think Snow would hate being on a diet, just a wild guess lol! She...

PrincessAyeka12 gave me the fabulous idea of coming up with what libri and authors each princess would like to read. We already know that Belle's a bookworm, but what would the other princesses spend hours flipping through, totally Lost to the outside world? I had a lot of fun with this article, since I Amore reading. I've read at least one book from most of these authors, although not all of them. All credit for this idea goes to PrincessAyeka12! All immagini made da me.

Snow White

I get the distinct feeling that Snow would just adore classic children's libri such as Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures...

4. Lotus fountains (like the one we see when we're first introduced to Jasmine) are an Indian thing.

5. "Abu" is an Indian name.

People complaining about Naomi being cast as gelsomino because she's Indian need to educate themselves.

If te want a version of Aladdin with gelsomino being played da a Middle Eastern woman, then major in film and get a film degree. It's not Disney's job to please you.

As for the people complaining...

Princess Elena of Avalor. Many people are already crying out for her, loving her, loving her for the diversity she brings to the DP line...

And I just don't see the fuss.

Don't get me wrong, I do want proper representation (yes, i do, actually, even though the most cynical of te won't believe it). What I don't want is tokenism, a character that has no personality beyond what is defined for them- their skin color/sexuality/etc. It's like if Disney made a fat princess whom her whole personality revolved around food, o a bisexual princess who went around having crushes on everybody and being described...
