Dungeons & Draghi (or D&D for short) is a super fun tavolo, ripiano del tavolo roleplaying game that's been around since the 1970s but has recently gained a fair bit of popularity. I've been playing the game for around eight years at time of writing, and I strongly recommend te give it a try if te ever get the chance. It's really an absolute blast! D&D has always been one of my preferito hobbies, but within the last two years it's become an even bigger part of my life. Since I've been having so much fun with it recently, I decided it was finally time to try something I'd always wanted to do: turning the Disney Princesses into D&D characters.

Over the last anno I've been slowly creating D&D characters based off of the DPs, and I spent so much time on them that I really wanted to share them here. I'll be posting a series of articles, one for each DP, in which I explain why I chose the classes, subclasses, etc. for each princess, and share the backstory I wrote for each. I'll also be crossposting these articoli to the D&D club. All the characters will be level 3 to ensure that they all have a chosen subclass. Sourcebooks used to build these characters include the Player's Handbook, Volo's Guide to Monsters, Xanathar's Guide to Everything, and Tasha's Cauldron of Everything.

Since I expect many of te here don't play D&D o maybe even haven't heard of it, I'll begin with the backstory I wrote since te might find that the most interesting. Below the backstory you'll find the più nitty gritty stats of the characters. Anything written in italics is an author's note explaining my reasoning behind certain character choices.

Belle

Human Wizard - Order of Scribes / Background - Guild Artisan

Yay time for my preferito princess! <3 Belle's whole thing is that she's a bookworm. What's the most bookish D&D class? Wizards, of course! Scholarly magic users who never keep their spellbooks far from their reach. Then I had the conundrum of deciding which of the many many wizard subclasses I should make her. I decided to go with the most bookish of them all - the Order of Scribes - wizards who Amore libri so much that they literally bring their spellbooks to life. dato that Belle's story revolved around a lot of talking objects that just felt too perfect. For her background I thought that Belle might have helped out her father with his tinkering, so I gave her the guild artisan background.

Backstory

Backstories have been created with a combination of the stories from the films and rolling randomly on the random tables in the "This Is Your Life" section of Xanathar's Guide to Everything, which is why some of these backstories have some wild things that really come out of left field lol.

I had an unusual beginning to my life. I was born at home to Agnez and Maurice Durand. My mother left us when we were very young, and my father does not like to speak of her. I know nothing of why she abandoned us.

My father and I lived a modest life in a small house on the edge of a provincial town. He was a clever man, though many considered him odd o even crazy. A member of the Tinker's Guild, he was always tinkering away at his inventions, and he trained me to help him at his work. When I was 15 I was inducted as a member of the guild as well.

My father believed education was important for all children, regardless of gender, so he taught me my letters and arithmetic from an early age. Once I knew how to read, I always had my nose in a book. I desperately desired to go on my own adventure, like the ones in the novels. In particular, I was Come d’incanto da the idea of magic and wizards, and I hoped one giorno to learn the craft myself.

The town we lived in was rather old-fashioned, and most people believed it wasn't right for women to read. As such, I was seen as different and strange, so I had few friends. I was very close with my father as a result of this.

Through a strange series of events, my father was captured da a fearsome beast who lived in an Come d’incanto castello deep in the forest. I found him, and traded my life for his. A single Come d’incanto rose counted down the remaining time to break his curse, and I was fascinated. As the months went by, I began to know the beast better and grew to care for him and eventually Amore him. My Amore broke the curse that had been placed upon him as a child, and returned him and his entire palace staff to their true forms. He was, in fact, a handsome prince named Adam.

I was happy with Adam, but still desired adventure as I always had, and though palace life was comfortable it was not particularly stimulating.

One day, while perusing the castello library, I discovered a beautiful gilt-edged tome that contained strange arcane markings. Immediately my mind went to the wizards of the libri I'd so loved my whole life, and I set about decoding whatever was written therein. Through careful study of the few other libri on magic in the library's collection I was able to decipher some of what was written, and even able to cast a couple simple cantrips.

Desperate to know more, I applied to the Order of Scribes, a wizarding school, and was accepted. Adam and my father saw my off with well wishes and tears in my eyes, but I knew that this was my true calling and I went without regret.

I applied myself rigorously to my studies and advanced quickly. My professors have told me I have great promise, and I privately hope to become the greatest wizard of our age.

I recently returned to the palace during a break in my schooling to discover my father's workshop destroyed and Adam nowhere to be found. Whoever the assailant was left only a small multicolored stone disc in the spot where Adam's Come d’incanto rose had once stood.

I have set out in cerca of whoever destroyed my father's livelihood and ha rubato, stola my lover from me, and I intend to rain down the full strength of my wrath upon them.

Another story that I didn't feel the need to change much~

Character Stats

Level 3

STR -1 (9) DEX 0 (11) CON +2 (15) INT +3 (16) WIS +1 (13) CHA +2 (14)

I used the standard array to generate stats. I tried to assign them in a way that would allow for a strong D&D character while still remaining mostly true to the attributes of the character in the film.

HP 20
AC 10
Initiative 0
Speed 30 ft.

Saving throws: Int +5, Wis +3

Skills: Arcana +5, Insight +3, Perception +3, Persuasion +4 (For her class skills I gave her Arcana and Insight. I thought that dato her curiosity she would try to learn everything she could about magic, and she's clearly insightful since she was able to see beneath the Beast's rough exterior. Persuasion was granted da her background, and then I got to choose one more. I went with perception because she comes across to me as fairly perceptive of the world around her.)

Languages: Common, Elvish, Gnomish (Since her father's a tinker and gnomes are famous for their tinkering skills I wouldn't be surprised if she had spent some time around gnomes and spoke at least conversational Gnomish. She also seems like the type who might romanticise elves for their mystery and majesty and learn Elvish just for fun.)

Tools: Tinker's Tools

Features and Traits

Arcane Recovery: Once per giorno when te finish a short rest, te can choose expended spell slots to recover - up to a combined level of 2, and none of the slots can be 6th level o higher.

Awakened Spellbook: While te are holding your Awakened Spellbook, it grants te the following benefits:
- te can use the book as a spellcasting focus for your wizard spells.
- When te cast a wizard spell with a spell slot, te can temporarily replace its damage type with a type that appears in another spell in your spellbook.
- When te cast a wizard spell as a ritual, te can use the spell’s normal casting time. te regain use of this feature when te finish a long rest.

Spells

Modifier: +3
Spell attack: +5
Save DC: 13

Cantrips (at will): Light, Mage Hand, raggio, ray of Frost
1st level (4 slots): Charm Person, Detect Magic, Feather Fall, Illusory Script, Mage Armor, Magic Missile, Sleep
2nd level (2 slots): Suggestion

Tbh I mostly just gave her the suggested starter spells cuz I was starting to get lazy at this point lol

Actions

Dagger: +2 to hit, 1d4 piercing damage

Bonus Actions

Wizardly Quill: As a bonus action, te can magically create a Tiny quill in your free hand. The magic quill has the following properties:
- The quill doesn’t require ink. When te write with it, it produces ink in a color of your choice on the Scrivere surface.
- The time te must spend to copy a spell into your spellbook equals 2 minuti per spell level if te use the quill for the transcription.
- te can erase anything te write with the quill if te wave the feather over the text as a bonus action, provided the text is within 5 feet of you.
This quill disappears if te create another one o if te die.

That's it for Belle! I hope te enjoyed reading. If te have any domande o opinions I'd Amore to hear them in the comments! See te tomorrow with another princess~

stella, star farfalla is the stella, star of a Disney animated mostra called stella, star vs. the Forces of Evil. stella, star is my preferito Disney princess despite not being a part of the official Disney princess lineup.

1. Disney princesses have been accused of not being able to fight for herself, but no princess kicks più butt than Star. She has defeated Ludo and his henchmen several times. Marco often helps her, but he's più of a sidekick to her than her knight in shining armor.

2. stella, star is easily the funniest Disney princess. Her and the mostra have a unique style of humor that makes it stand out. The only Disney princess...

Draco Malfoy in disguise, I bet!
Draco Malfoy in disguise, I bet!
Well, since nobody has come up with this topic (or so it seems), I'm going to be Scrivere about what really happen to Prince Adam's parents in the original 1991 version of Disney's Beauty and the Beast.

They Died Overseas

As royalties, I guess they died while they were doing their state visit. They were either assassinated o died from an unknown plague, leaving the servants to spoiled their only son Prince Adam!

They Ran Away

Upon believing that the Beast had killed their son when they return from their state visit, they ran away in fear.

The Beast Killed Them

Okay, I know this sounds morbid and...

Moana's lista is another interesting one because unlike Anna and Snow White I really don't think Moana would care much for the Disney Princesses save for her favorites. Tiana, Jasmine, and Ariel were particularly tough to place and if te have suggestions on how Moana would feel about them, please feel free to share.

11. Aurora

I actually originally was going to group all the classic princesses together in one picture because frankly I don't think Moana would give them the time of day. Aurora and Moana have nothing in common and wouldn't even be remotely interested in each other.

10. Cinderella...

Hi guys! Very much inspired da deedragongirl’s post, I decided to write this articolo coz Natale is fast approaching. I am so thankful to deedragongirl for letting me use the idea, this is an excellent concept! Now let’s start this articolo right away

Cooking – Snow White, Tiana and Rapunzel
Snow white can whip up a pie and make some la minestra, zuppa in no time at all! She is an excellent cook! We can leave the Natale pie to Tiana, although we would enjoy her beignets and delicious gumbo! And Rapunzel can cook well, she’ll prepare tasty mela, apple pie and some Cioccolato chip cookies! Yum!
