As te may already of noticed I am a bit of a fan of the Disney Princesses and their films. One aspect about these films that I find really interesting is the kingdoms in which their stories take place, including the buildings and the general surroundings. So I decided to write an articolo discussing each Princesses kingdom. In this articolo I am looking at Walt Disney's princesses ie. the original three.

Name: Snow White

Film: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937)

Kingdom: Specific name unknown

 (Snow White's castle)
(Snow White's castle)
First on the agenda is Snow White, the "lovely little princess".. but Princess of where? Pre Happily Ever After she lived in her inherited castello with her stepmother The Evil Queen and I can only assume that Snow White is successivo in line to the trono of the beautifully animated kingdom she dwells in. I Amore the original castle, its simple, however still regal and it looks over a very small village as well as having a sea side view. Sounds like my dream property.

 (The Dwarf's cottage)
(The Dwarf's cottage)
Apart from the very small village we see on the shot of the Queen's castello the rest of the kingdom that is shown during the film is forest lands, inhabited with cute animals, dark magic, a diamond mine and seven dwarfs. Of course a lot of time Snow White spends during the film is in the cottage of the seven dwarfs that she describes as being like "a little doll's house" which is a perfect description, the Dwarf's humble home is situated over the seven jewelled hills and beyond the seventh fall.

 (Neuschwanstein Castle, Germany)
(Neuschwanstein Castle, Germany)
The country in which Snow White is set in is debatable but the common belief is that it is in Germany. Disney's Snow White is most notably based on Brother Grimm's adaption, who are German writers and are thought to of base this particular fairy tale in Germany. Also based on visual value I think that Snow White's inherited castello is very reminiscent of that in German history.

This kingdom represented in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is very significant, dato that its the first feature length animated film to be released theatrically influencing all fairytale story lands from the 1930s onwards. Snow White's kingdom is one of my favourites out of all of the princesses. It is heavily based on the natural world, consisting mainly of adorable forest animals, the film doesn't try and be too realistic but rather very child like with un-naturalistic uses of colour and design most notable in the dwarfs.

 (The Prince's palace)
(The Prince's palace)
Snow White's Amore interest who is only ever referred to as "The Prince" I assume has a kingdom of his own, at the end of the film he takes Snow White off into the distance, we see a shot of his palace which some believe is a Palace in the sky, while others think it is just simply in the far distance, either way it is a beautiful ending shot to Snow White's enduring tale and even though there isn't much detail in this palace that can be noted we all know that this will be the home of Snow White's happily ever after.

Name: Cinderella

Film: Cenerentola (1950)

Kingdom: "A tiny kingdom in a far away land"

 (Cinderella's home)
(Cinderella's home)
successivo up is ball toga, abito and slippers. Cenerentola who isn't princess da birth but rather marries into royalty lives in quite possibly the most iconic kingdom out of all the princesses. Like Snow White, Cenerentola is brought up da an Evil Stepmother, living in the inherited estate previously owned da her father of whom was an aristocrat of some sort. It is a very beautiful estate that we are made aware that Cenerentola grew of age in. The vast majority of the film takes place within this house which allowed the animators to display some beautiful interior designs for the building.

The general kingdom displayed in this film is simply stunning, a very archetypal approach to the visuals of a fairytale kingdom but still very effective and beautiful. The kingdom that is displayed in the film is heavily reliant on blue, white and just a splash of red and pink. The film consists of a very vertical orientation with all the buildings seeming as if they are reaching as high as possible and a constant awareness of symmetry and preciseness.

 (Charming's palace)
(Charming's palace)
The palace in which the royal family live is possibly the most iconic palace ever. However the design of this palace is constantly being changed, throughout the film, the sequels, the merchandise and the palace at Disney World but the way in which the palace is shown in the initial film is simply beautiful, it is essentially the dream palace, an ideal image of what our palace should look like in our very own happily ever afters.

Cinderella's kingdom seems to be very reliant on high society, aristocracy, fancy balls and beautiful man made scenery which contrasts against Disney's precedente princess film Snow White which is associated with the natural world. I am a fan of the film but the story of Cenerentola is a very shallow one and the kingdom that she lives in almost matches it with a "style over substance" sense.

 (French Interior Designs)
(French Interior Designs)
The country in which Cenerentola is set in is also debatable; some people believe that it is set in England while others say France. What seems to be the most likely is France dato that Disney's adaption is most notably based on French takes of the story and most of the visuals in the film simply send off più French "vibes" rather than English.

Quite simply Cenerentola is the most iconic Disney Princess living in the most iconic kingdom, the kingdom where she becomes the princess bride and lives out her happily ever after.

Name: Aurora

Film: Sleeping Beauty (1959)

Kingdom: "A far away land"

 (Aurora's castle)
(Aurora's castle)
Aurora is in my opinion the most beautiful princess of them all and I Amore her kingdom and just the general design of the film. Aurora was born princess of a fairy tale kingdom in her parents palace, a palace that is possibly my least favourite of all the princesses however it has a look all of its own which creates a rather peculiar shape a bit on the chunky side which actually Suits the shapes used throughout the entire film but it is a palace that is easily forgotten.

I really enjoy the musical number "Hail to the Princess Aurora" in which we see the kingdom rejoice in the birth of the leading lady. The small scene is a feast of colour, character, excitement and bouncy music. For the first time in a Princess film we see a mass amount of people whom live in the Princess' respective kingdom.

 (The Woodcutter's cottage)
(The Woodcutter's cottage)
Like Snow White, Aurora's kingdom mainly consists of the main castle/palace, the small village it over looks and forestlands inhabited with cute animali and random cottages, in Aurora's case the "Woodcutter's cottage" that Aurora lives in with the three good fate until her 16th birthday. The cottage is simply adorable which is indeed tiny but still includes great detail, simplistic colours, it is the kind of home te would some giorno want to retire to.

As already stated; Aurora's kingdom mainly consists of forest lands, which differs greatly to the kind of woodlands that Disney have previously created. This time they have experimented greatly with every shape under the sun represented in a very sharp manner in the way of bushes, trees, lakes, cliffs etc gives a very imperfect, pointy elegance corresponding with Aurora's visual details.

 (Eltz Castle, Germany)
(Eltz Castle, Germany)
Like the precedente two kingdoms talked about the country in which Sleeping Beauty is set is debatable, peoples opinions varies between England, Germany and France, I'm unsure if Disney have actually specified.

Sleeping Beauty has a very specific visual design and I think that out of all of Disney's films this is the one that is most influenced da external artistic sources. It is this kingdom out of all the princesses that is animated in the most unique manner.

Briar Rose hummed to herself quietly as she picked berries from a bush. She smiled to herself: her aunts thought they could deceive her, but it was obvious they were planning something special for her birthday.

"I wonder what they're doing this year," she thought to herself. "Last anno Aunt Fauna sew for me this scialle I'm wearing, Aunt Flora made a fiore pot for me to put my fiori in and Aunt Merryweather baked...

ciao everybody, during this time when we're supposed to give thanks and be thankful for what we have, I thought what not better way to celebrate than to insult all of the princesses clothes! What could be a better way to celebrate the Natale cheer! So without further ado, let's gooo! (I'm not including Anna and Elsa because 1. I'm lazy, 2. they're not coronated yet, and 3. #yolo.)

11. Ariel

Sorry Ariel, but I really don't like your wardrobe. I don't Amore any of her outfits, and it just seems every color she wears clashes with her red hair. They also seem too poofy and don't look too comfortable....

I saw CRaZy_rawR do an articolo like this recently and it looked fun so I thought I might try it out :) Anyway let's get started! Also, I'm not including Anna and Elsa in this list, but their wardrobes are definitely two of my favorites!

Snow White: Rags

I absolutely Amore this dress! I Amore her other dress as well, but I've always found this dress so charming! I Amore the color scheme of it, and I Amore the blue hair-bow she wears with it. I think this dress is beautiful, and if the Queen's job was to hide Snow's beauty in that dress she definitely failed! Although the bottom of the dress looks...

Welcome to another Silverrose1991's preferiti countdown. Today we will be reviewing Cinderella's outfits. Silverrose1991 would like to remind te that all characters mentioned in this articolo are owned da Disney and all outfits in this countdown can be found in Walt Disney's Cinderella.

Let's get started.

6. Light blue nightgown

This outfit is cute and lady-like, but old-fashioned. I'm pretty sure Lady Tremaine just gave Cenerentola the worst nightgown in the house to wear, so it musn't be very comfortable, either. I like the neckline with the bow and the color isn't all that bad, but dull.

Nightgowns: Great for twirling around Cenerentola style!...

Here are the results of the Princess of the mese Hairstyles Countdown!

This is originally a BelleAnastasia's idea, she started to make countdowns for princesses' songs, hairstyles and outfits each month. She made the other articoli with results only with images, so I continued her tradition, because personally I think it's not bad.

I'm really glad she let me do Aurora's countdowns, I hope te enjoy my pictures!

Snow White
I used to have Snow White low on my lista because I had a hard time connecting with her. I thought she was too cheerful, old-fashioned, unrealistic and not a very well developed character. Her character definitely isn't all that layered, but I started liking her simplicity. I Amore how she is like a bossy mother to the Dwarfs and how she always makes the best out of a bad situation. I also think she's funnier than dato credit for.

Favorite Outfit: Princess Dress with a cape- It looks complete with the cape.

Since my birthday is soon I decided to combine two of my biggest fandoms, the Disney Princesses and Within Temptation, link. To make it even più interesting I have decided to also give each princess that where in the old articolo a new song that I think Suits them so it's a good idea to read the old articolo before te read this one. I also decided to update this lista so that Merida could be included.

Snow White:link

This song totally Suits her, when I did my old articolo I hadn't listned to this song, but now it's one of my favorites. There are many lyrics that Suits her, but the one that...

This is my first articolo on fanpop and I hope te all enjoy viewing it! This is completely my own opinion and should not be taken seriously. I will be creating an updated lista after Frozen premieres. Please keep in mind that this is a lista for specific characters, not their movies. Otherwise, this lista would look much much different. Let the countdown begin!

#11: Mulan

I have nothing against Mulan, honestly, but she is the one Disney Princess that doesn't interest me in any way, shape, o form. She is strong, chivalrous, and brave. Which is great, but I've always been a girly-girl. Her personality...

Belle, Nostalgia Critic regards her as one of the best animated characters ever and I have to agree. She's strong, adventurous, doesn't really care what people think of her, doesn't take crap from no one........and yet.....at the same time......it's those same traits that make her kind of ANNOYING!!!! Don't get me wrong. Belle is great. She's hot, she's smart, and she's strong, but te see, the thing is while those are good traits for a perfect to have, Belle has way too many good traits. She is too freakin' stinkin' PERFECT!!!!! She is like the ultimate good model of Disney. She always wants...

Allright, I have seen all those articoli before about the role modelle but I would like to write one all together to be fair and to not be a single opinion, so If te can please write who do te think is the best role model. That's how I wan't to make the superiore, in alto 10 with the help of all you. Please I think Mulan deserves to be number one so tell me for others. te can write for every one te wan't, for example If we have a lot who think Belle is a good role model, she will be the second. If te have domande ask in comments, the final lista (top ten) will be announced successivo week! Please vote, I will make and a sondaggio for that and remember, say why!
te know I hate when people say that classic princesses are not good role modelle and all these, te have never see a person who like cooking and cleaning, cause I like that, and stop judje them, te judje them and compare them with things that exist only in the 21th century and with a negative point of view, a selfish point of view, te see the critics about them who are very negative, cause that's their work to find negative things, even when they doesn't exist, te say they are only cooking and cleaning and waiting for a prince to come, te know they don't live in the 21th century! In those...

All righty, so about a week fa I postato a sondaggio asking which countdown people wanted me to do. The winning pick was "Which DP movie is the most accurate compared to its original fairytale?" Now as much as I Amore this idea, I'm incredibly wary to do it as a countdown because I'm worried the results won't be accurate. Many people think they know the original fairytales, but there are countless versions of each of them out there, meaning that if we wanted the countdown to work, everyone would have to read the same versions. This means that everyone who participated would have to read 10 fairytales,...

So I made a sondaggio and asked all of te guys to give me your DP Canto voices lists. The winner is determined da points. Whoever has the least amount of points will be the winner. So if te have Snow White in your #10 spot, she will receive 10 points. If te voted Ariel for #1, she will receive 1 point. I will give the final point score at the very end. The Princess with the least amount of points will be Fanpop's preferito DP Singer! :)

Thanks to all of our 26 participants!

Okay, let's get started... I will also give the amount of every ranking the Princess recieved. How many 1's, how many 2's,...
