Ok, here's the thing: I do like Belle, but I don't share the ammount of love/praise that other people seem to give her. I find her incredibly overrated. I don't argue with the fact that she was smart, but just because she read books about love and re-read them more than once doesn't exactly make her the smartest and the most intellegent girl in the Disney world, in fact, Mulan was smarter (by far) because she could win the war thanks to her intellect and thoughtfullness. Rapunzel read and re-read books a lot while living in the tower and no one ever gave her a praise for that or called her smart ass. That's why I think Belle's intellegence is extremely overrated. On a positive note, I think she is a great person who is able to see the good in people and help bring it out of them. It's a very good quality, although she is definitely NOT the only Disney girl who could do it (Pocahontas and Rapunzel could do it just as well).
