It depends actually. On Fanpop, yes, she does get too much hate, but overall...no. She gets a lot of love, which creates a lot of hate

She barely gets any hate. If she gets a lot of hate on Fanpop, I haven't seen it. If anything, she gets too much love for being "strong", "independent", and "not needing a man".

In the context of this group? Absolutely.

People here routinely rip Elsa over the dumbest things. She ran away? So what. She didn't know how to reverse the damage she did to Arendelle (which wasn't her fault btw) and had no control over her powers. So she did the smart thing by removing herself from the situation before she made it worse. She needed time and space to learn how to harness her powers. Pretty much everything Elsa does in the movie is out of concern for other people no matter how emotionally damaging it is to her; I've never understood the frequent accusation here that she's selfish. Honestly, it's like people lose all compassion when they talk about her.
