BY FAR! The Once Upon a Time version is great too but not nearly as amazing as the animated version. The Angelina Jolie version was so poorly written and acted like an emo special snowflake that trolled the fairies during her free time. WHAT THE HELL? But that's nothing compared to how they absolutely DESTROYED her character in Descendants! Just TERRIBLE! Also, who the hell thought it was a good idea to cast Kristin Chenoweth as Maleficent? I love Kristin Chenoweth dearly but she was just SO MISCAST!

I liked it when Maleficent was actually villainous without some sad backstory. I love redemption stories, but she was a lot more intimidating and a real threat in this version.

Yeah honestly I liked the Maleficent movie up to the point where Maleficent immediately found the cottage the fairies were raising Aurora and Disney decided to do a mother/daughter relationship with them.

I understand why the live-action movie gets a lot of hate but I view it as separate from the animated version/just a different interpretation & honestly don't think it's that bad. Regardless, I'd still enjoy it even if just for Angelina Jolie's performance alone, which is fantastic. Obviously the original is iconic, I just wanted to give this version support as I like that she has some more depth.

The REAL Maleficent and not the watered down version that is unfortunately getting a sequel.

Original the mistress of all evil^^ descendant is too comic the one from once upon a Time is a little Boring for me and i really consider maleficent from the live action a whole new character not really a version of maleficent the only thing in common with maleficent is her horns.
