Let's say the whole "putting down other DPs to make Belle look good" thing gets really old really fast. Not all of them are that way, thank goodness, but the Vocal Minority that are...*sighs* It really, really makes me embarrassed to be a fan of Belle, it really does.

@BelleAnastasia: Well, everyone has their own point of view on things. I personally think that she's not selfish and self-absorbed, simply imperfect. And I think that's one reason why people love her so much. She's imperfect, funny, kind, headstrong -- she's very likeable, really. I wish she had been able to do a little more in her original film, but otherwise, she's awesome. :3

@Princesslullaby I beg to differ - I'm a Rapunzel-Fan, and I just wrote a nearly complete article series about the soundtracks of the movies, without putting Tangled on top one single time.
I don't think that any kind of fans are more annying than the other, I'm more frustrated with the anti-fans, who can't resist to rip into the princess they dislike whenever they can. Not a special princess, mind you, though some princesses fall victim to this behavior more often than others.

It's really not an opinion on whether or not Ariel is selfish. It's a fact.
It's true that Ariel going after her dream on its own isn't selfish. There's nothing wrong with going after a dream that doesn't include others- a small example. If I go to the store and buy a candy bar with no intention of sharing it with anyone else, does it make me selfish? No. Because my actions don't cause harm to others. What does make Ariel selfish is the fact that she doesn't take into account how her actions would affect anyone else- in fact, she acknowledges it, but goes ahead with her plan anyway. That is selfish. It's not an opinion.

BelleAnastasia I will agree that she's selfish but no more selfish than any other normal human being(in a matter of speaking). However there's a difference between being selfish and self-obsorbed. Selfish is something everyone is, but self-absorb means they think the world always revolves around them; in other words Naveen and Gaston.

Anyway people always say they love her because she reads and she'sso amazing. She's only considered so amazing because of that and they just love her movie. She has no growth as a character or makes any mistakes.

This question asks which fans annoy you the most when acting defensive about her. The answer is Rapunzel fans do. I didn't realize people were so inept and understanding what other people mean without having it spelled out for them. Obviously everyone here doesn't mean EVERY SINGLE FAN of the ones they picked.

Rapunzel fans just can't accept when someone dislikes her. They won't listen to resaons, anything.
Ariel fans are just annoyed when people (Belle fans mostly) start insulting Ariel out of nowhere. And Ariel fans do aknowledge that Ariel isn't perfect and they can accept if someone has Ariel last, they just don't like when someone picks on Ariel all the time.

And KataraLover, believe it or not, not everyone is selfish. And Belle has character growth during the movie

when i argue with you you're saying that i get "offensive" and that i don't make real arguments. when i don't argue you say i'm giving up. i can't do anything either way. the point is, i didn't mean to generalize all rapunzel fans, when I said "rapunzel fans" i meant in answer to the question, the ones who get defensive usually get aggressive, and on tumblr in EVERY CASE have gotten overly aggressive towards me and attack. no one ever argues FOR me, show me one case. Actually I think it depends on the person, such as Azula or Meg(at the beginning of the movie) they'd be all like "What do you have to offer me if I save you?" but maybe that's just what I think.

BelleAnastasia who says Ariel's perfect? Anyone who says that needs a slap upside the head and told to watch the movie again. Ariel's not at all perfect, she's flawed and that's part of why I love her. But yeah I agree with you that some of the Rapunzel fans are annoying and Rapunzel is one of my favorite animated heroines EVER yet I find it annoying.

Rapunzel's crazy fans always defend her like she has no flaws. That's really annoying. These fans also act like Rapunzel and Flynn are a perfect couple. I see every princess has her own good and bad traits, and I look at each princess objectively, including Belle, my favorite.

@pretty-angel You and me, both. Especially the "everybody likes her" argument, because that's more or less true for every single princess. Normally the only people who dislike them are the villains.

I love The Little Mermaid, but it always kind of annoyed me how Ariel just threw away everything to go after a guy that she hardly even knew... and she has SO many die-hard fans! O.o

But to be fair, she is the newest princess and one of only two to come out during the internet era. I dislike it when I see people getting offended just because someone else doesn't think Rapunzel or Flynn are God's gifts to Disney. And there are so many pointless Tangled-related spots on here, it's a bit much.
