In this storyline, the main mages are either children and/or grand-children of the original characters (Natsu, Gray, Lucy, Erza, etc.....) Now there are all new guilds, new magic, etc.....

Gray: because Ice Make Magic is way better than Fire Magic and if I recall I would always win the fights and since my son used to go on the jobs with us he picked up the habit of breaking stuff in every town
