Damon was lying on Elena’s letto as Elena was going through her jewelry, looking for some bracelet o collana she didn’t like anyway. “I think your wiccan friend might be an issue” Damon said. “How’s that?” Elena asked distracted without turning around. “Well, she and I are not the best friends, te know. I doubt she’ll invite me in, in her magical little house” Damon replied. “So?” Elena shrugged. “You can wait outside, we don’t need te to do the spell” Damon frowned his eyes angry. “Well, then I suppose I can go back home, so I can play with Katherine, like te detto so expressing this morning” he detto grumpy. Now Elena turned around so quickly her neck cracked. She ignored the pain and shot Damon a furious look. She grabbed a collana and walked to Damon. “She can have this one” she waved with the necklace, trying to sound normal. “I tried it on and it doesn’t suit me. So, if it doesn’t look good on me, it won’t look good on her, either”
Damon got up and walked towards Elena until he was just an inch away. He took her hands and looked her in the eyes. “I don’t believe that for a second, Elena” he detto softly. “I think te can make the most worn diamond look shiny” A tensing silence filled the room as they stared in each other’s eyes until Elena averted her head. “We have to go” she said, swallowing. She left her room, walking downstairs. Damon waited a few seconds, thinking in himself. He had to keep himself together. It was not going to happen. She loved Stefan, period. “Damon? Are te coming?” Elena shouted from down the stairs. “Yeah!” Damon shouted back. “I’m there” He left the room and ran downstairs to find Elena waiting for him. “What were te still doing there?” Elena asked slowly. “Just… thinking” Damon detto honest. Elena nodded. “Okay” She opened the front door, walking to the car. As she and Damon got in the car and he started the engines she lay her hand on his. “Damon” she sighed. “We need to talk. About what happened last night” Damon looked down at the steering wheel before he looked at Elena. “I know what you’re going to say” he started. “You thought I was going to die. te thought te would never see me again. And though te Amore Stefan te do care about me and te felt the need to let me die with a happy feeling. It was a sweet kiss, and I will cherish it, but it was nothing but a moment of compassion” Elena blinked and shook her head confused. “What, I-” “Elena” Damon detto as he stroke her hair behind her ear. “It’s okay. I understand. I don’t want te to Amore me against your will” He looked back eyes front and pushed the accelerator pedal.

“Bonnie?” Damon shouted. “Bonnie, where are you? Get back here!” But when nothing happened he understood he had to do this himself. He looked up at the chains and started pulling with all his strength. It hurt immensely, but he couldn’t stop. If this pain was necessary to be with Elena, he would go through it.
After a few minutes, that felt like hours, his right hand was liberated. Without hesitating he pulled his left arm and this time it took less time to free himself.
Then everything went black.
Damon opened his eyes and found himself outside on the spot where Bonnies house used to be. He looked at his arms. They had healed. He scribbled up and looked around. He felt different, like he’d been born again. Elena. He had to see Elena. And so he started walking in the direction of the Boarding House. He could sense she was there.

The successivo morning.
A buzzing sound, coming from Caroline’s pedestal cupboard woke her up and she opened her eyes. She took her phone and opened it. She had received a message from an unknown person.
“I know what te are and we will destroy you” she read aloud. She swung her legs off the letto and searched for her ring. When she had found it she put it on and walked to the window. She shoved the curtain and stared outside.
The sky was grey. It seemed like it was going to rain.
Caroline opened the window and climbed over the edge.
“Game on, bitch” she mumbled, before she jumped and landed gracefully on the pavers.
