How do te "rate" something on Fanpop?

Because I saw the "Showing Love" berretto, tappo and I'm curious. Is rating like saving o being a fan of something? o is it totally different? Considering the fact that this is my secondo anno here, I feel like a noob for asking this. :U

Rating something is basically 'fanning' contents on fanpop. Every time te click a green "fan of it?" button, te fan a content (or rate something, rather).

God, I feel really old right now. Rating was the system that fanpop used prior to just being a "fan of it." Like te would actually rate it out of 5 stars. So if te hated something te would give it 1 star. But then the F4 got rid of rating and now we just have the archaic term that isn't applicable anymore but is still used.
