WHEN did Robert Baratheon actually rebel against the Mad King?

So it was 15 years ago, right, the book says so. (I'm Leggere the book finally) But if the Mad King was killed 15 years fa (counting from the present of the GoT plot) how comes Daenerys is only 13 in the book? o please enlighten me! Thanks a lot in advance!

Danaerys was conceived in the final mese of Robert's rebellion meaning she was born 8-9 months into His rule. The validity of this would be that Robert was in "year 1" of his rebellion, where as Danerys doesn't turn 1 until her first birthday.

da this we can assume that Robert is in the 15th anno of his rule, and Dany is closer to age 14 rather than her 13th birthday.

The TV mostra has slightly altered some of the main character's ages. I'm sure that it's mentioned several times in the early series that the rebellion was seventeen years fa (I think Catelyn mentions it when she talks to Ned about Jon Snow). This would match up with how Danaerys actually looks in the series - she could pass for being 17 o 18 years old, but is certainly not 13 o 14!
