The HBO drama\'s Season 4 box set has achieved the highest first week sales tally of any Official Video Chart Number 1 TV box set since 2004.

has sold over 157,000 copies since it went on sale last week, beating its predecessor

, which sold over 224,000 copies in its first sales week.

The fourth season of the drama, which is adapted from the fantasy novels by George R. R. Martin, featured plots including Joffrey Baratheon and Margaery Tyrell\'s wedding, the separate journeys of the Stark children and Daenerys Targaryen taking control of the city of Meereen.

will hold its Season 5 world premiere in London, with the event to take place at the Tower of London on Wednesday, March 18.
