"Its not working!" Edward yelled desperately as he glanced round the room for anyone who could help him.

He rested his gaze on the clock that was chiming, signalling midnight was coming fast. Narissa chuckled to herself, everything was going exactly to plan. Even if Nathaniel had a sword draw to her neck, she could easily overcome that.

As he looked into Giselle's eyes, Robert knew he was in love. He didn't want to ever let her go.

He felt a hand on his shoulder and reluctantly turned away from Giselle to face Nancy.

"Mind if I cut in?" Nancy detto in an acidic tone.

After a moment's pause Giselle detto "No, of course" in a voice that broke Robert's heart.

He was shaken from his daze da this and shook Nancy off. "Get away from me" he snapped. "Giselle" he called after her.

"Yes, Robert" Giselle said, turning back. Her eyes were brimming with tears.

"Don't cry, Giselle" he murmured softly, pulling her into his arms....
