Yes. She'd be just about the most loyal friend te could ever have! She stood da Scarlett when India spoke ill of her, and she comforted Rhett during Scarlett's fall. Then when Bonnie died, Mammy was glad that Melanie came to visit because she thought that Melanie could help Rhett and Scarlett deal with their grief. She was a great friend! I wish that più people were as loyal as her.
At first I found her a little too sickeningly good but I grew to really Amore Mellie. The part with the Yankee soldier really cemented it all for me. She was like so much deeper than I think even Scarlett thought. da the end I think I loved her as much as Scarlett. Shows how well the movie was made.
