I still think it's not his true mother as it would make me hate Bart even more if he blamed Chuck for something he didn't do. And if he wanted to keep him, then why treat him like a shit?

I still can't understand why he lied to him and told him he had killed his mother when she was giving birth to him, that is just stupid.

Couldn't he have told him she died in a car accident or something...

^^ and like edwestwick said, if he didn't wanna give him up, why treat him like crap his whole life?

Of course I did. At least of what I remember, Bart never "told" Chuck he killed his mother or that he blamed him for that, or did he? I always thought that was what Chuck thought, and that was why Bart talked with him after finding out that Chuck thought that.

In any case, if you think, it's not that hard to understand, he's a Bass, he's just like Chuck. What if Blair got pregnant and completely leave him and their child after that? Chuck would be totally broken hearted and, unfortunately, would take it all on their child. Just like he pushes Blair away sometimes when he's sad, like when Bart's ghost appeared. It's not that he didn't loved him, is that he was too broken, and he didn't wanted to show that, or to show any sign of weakness, so he pushed Chuck away, which is awful but completely understandable.

IMO, after this Elizabeth/Evelyn/whoeveryouare person left, Bart thought he didn't deserved being loved, he didn't deserved having someone, he deserved being alone and blah (Chuck would react exactly in the same way, I think) and took Chuck expecting he could have a better life than he did, but once again, took the wrong choices in a lot of things. Though, when Bart married Lily, if you watch it again, he did soften a little bit with Chuck, maybe nothing too WOW, but he did. And he smiled again, I remember watching pictures of the wedding with Bart smiling and I was like wwwhoa Bart can smile too xDDDDD It wasn't until Lily that he thought he could be loved again. Which is sad, because Lily didn't loved him and she... ugh, don't make me start with Lily xD

I miss Bart too, he was a good character, he seemed plain and boring, and that's probbably why not so many people was interested in him, but he was a deep character to understand, and he was good. I don't know, I always loved Bart, I have a thing for the Basses, and I never thought Bart was mean or bad or anything. He didn't exactly made the right choices, but we can't blame him, right?

And the suit thing it's totally cute, weird but cute xD

edwestwick picked Not really, he let Chuck believe he killed his mother:
i don't think Bart was goodfather or really a person. And yes, I think Chuck can blame him for his wrong choices, I mean he was bad father for example when Chuck bought tickets for them and he blew him off or when he kicked him out to his suite after Serena got this stuff.

Maybe he wanted to keep him and loved him in his own way but he definitely wasn't a good parent, I mean one talk in 2x10 and then he acts all the same again.

And I think Chuck wouldn't be like that if he was left with a baby, just because he wouldn't want someone else to have a life like himself.

But I agree about suit think - it's really cute :)

He maybe wasn't a good father, but he surely loved him undernath.
You, people that judge only his actions, are just so superficial.
He was cold for a reason, I think that if the story Elizabeth spilled is the truth, he was like that because of her.
I'm sure he wouldn't be so cold if she didn't leave in the past...
He was angry because that b***h left him, and the only thing that she left was Chuck.
From the object of their 'love' he became the object of Bart's hate because Elizabeth broke his heart!
I'm sure he loved him after all, didn't dare to show it, but he did.
He COULD NOT love what the woman he loved the most in his life created with him.

I meant Chuck would act in the same way if he was in Bart's possition, that's what I was trying to imply. He already had this cold broken figure as a father so he wouldn't be EXACTLY like him, but under another circumstances, being in Bart's shoes, I think he would act like him.
And I still think that the fact that he wasn't a good parent doesn't make him a bad person, because he wasn't. It's too much to say he was a bad person. Making wrong choices doesn't always make you a bad person. I do think he wasn't the best father in the world at all, but I don't blame him for that because after all, even when what he did was completely wrong, I understand where he's coming from, and why he did everything, so I can't blame him.

*Aww* Big Bad Bart isn't so bad after all.

^^ When Elizabeth (Chuck's Mom) was explaining why she stayed away all those years and let Chuck believe he killed her, she said something like, "Bart couldn't go through with it once he saw his son" or somethin like that.
