Ok, well I'm going to be perfectly respectful in this articolo because I don't want to make anyone mad, I just want to make a point. If te agree o disagree with it, that's up to you. Please don't be rude inthe commento section, and give reasons for opinions. Thanks!
Now I can start. May I just start da saying that I am on the Harry Potter side (with all due respect to Twilight fans)
I've noticed that one of the things Twilight fan say is that Bella is a più relatable character than Harry. I think that that is a good point because technically, te can be a normal teenager who goes to school and has Friends and a boyfriend, but it isn't possible to go to Hogwarts and learn wizardry. However, that doesn't make sense because both series use fantasy as a genre. Harry Potter is just set in it's own fantasy place, while Twilight is set in an actual city. So people are able to think that it is più relatable, but it in fact isn't.
Another thing that can affect your opinion on "relatability" is the fact that Twilight is written in first person, so te are put in that perspective that te are Bella, therefore, thinking that it is più relatable. In Harry Potter, the articolo isn't written in first, person, so te don't feel as attached to the main character as te do when te read Twilight.
It is perfectly normal to feel that way, but it is important to dig a little deeper and to remember that te can't always relate to the main character, because Harry isn't always a relatable character, and neither is Bella (mostly). I like the fact that JK Rowling went furthur to describe più than just 3 main characters in her books. What I mean to say is that if te can't relate to Bella (the popolare new girl who many guys fancy and has the perfect boyfriend), o Edward o Jacob(I doubt many guys read Twilight, since it is aimed at young women and late teens), then there really isn't anyone else te can relate to within the books. Who do te think there is to relate to? Jessica? Other than her relationship with Mike, and briefly going to the Film with Bella, we don't know much about her since the story is mainly based on Bella's relationship with Edward.
On the other hand, in Harry Potter, being almost anyone within the hierachy at school, te can relate to them in Harry Potter. te could be a loner, and relate to Neville. te could be a weirdo and relate to Luna. te could be a nerd and relate to Hermione. te could be a jock, and relate to the Quidditch players. te could the class clown and relate to Fred and George. te could be misunderstood and relate to Draco. te could be a follower and even relate to Crabbe and Goyle! The lista goes on.
To say that Twilight is più relatable is not necessarily true, because relatability isn't always based on realisticness, and does not always refer to the main character. I'm just saying that I can find più people to relate to in Harry Potter than Twilight. Again, it's just an opinion, and I don't mean to offend anyone.
