I have actually read both series and liked Twilight okay, but Harry Potter rules for me!

First, the so often brought up topic... love, o lack thereof. Harry Potter consists of all sorts of love: family, parental, romantic, friend. Twilight consists of pure lust. Now for the evidence! Mrs. Molly Weasley killed Bellatrix Lestrange because Bellatrix nearly killed Ginny, her only daughter. The Weasleys all look out for each other, and even Percy apologized in the seventh book. They joined together in dark times, happy ones, sad ones, and when Fred died. te might say the Cullens mostra family love. Perhaps. But Rosalie simply cares for Renesmee because she's never been able to have a child. Esme and Carlisle and the others only welcome Bella because Edward would get dangerous without her. In Harry Potter, parental Amore is all over the place. James Potter died while protecting his son (we'll get to Lily later). Lily Potter gave her life for her son's. Molly Weasley committed murder for her daughter. Even Narcissa Malfoy showed parental Amore da saving Harry just so she could get into the castello for Draco. te might bring up Bella's Amore for Renesmee. I hardly think that's valid. Bella neglects Renesmee for Edward and gets mad because they nicknamed her daughter after a lake monster... REALLY? Now for romantic love. Ron and Hermione! They didn't meet and claim they were in Amore straightaway. Ginny and Harry! Harry had to tread carefully on ground because of Ron! Remus and Tonks! Tonks didn't care about Remus' condition and loved him anyway. Fleur continued loving Bill after he was mauled da Greyback. James and Lily! We saw James try in fifth anno and Sirius tells us Lily and James got together in seventh. They spent YEARS figuring it out, like Ron and Hermione. Edward and Bella don't Amore each other. They lust toward each other. "Ooh, he's HOT!" "She smells SO good!" And friend love. Harry loves his Friends and would do anything for them, and vice versa. But Bella treats her Friends like crap, even the first person to speak to her in Forks, Jessica. Love, alright.

The writing. J.K. Rowling's Scrivere progresses and matures each book. Times become darker. She knows how to progress a book. Stephenie Meyer, however, drones on and on about Edward using just about two adjectives. Perfect and sparkly.

Feminism and messages. Bella happily cooks and cleans for Charlie while he watches Televisione and sports. She basically conveys that she can't continue as a living being without a man around. When Edward leaves her, she slips into a state of depression for four whole months, neglecting her friends. Then she goes for the successivo hottest guy in town, Jacob. She puts herself into danger just to hear Edward's voice, going as far as jumping off a cliff. Later, she gets pregnant. Is Meyer TRYING to encourage teen pregnancies? Nice. Hermione states her opinions, even organiazing S.P.E.W. When Ron leaves her, she continues helping Harry cerca for Horcruxes though she is sad. She doesn't shut down completely. When Harry breaks up with Ginny for her safety, Ginny accepts it sadly. She knows Harry is just trying to protect her. She still stays loyal to him, even trying to steal the sword of Gryffindor. "Harry Potter is about finding inner strength and doing what is right in the face of adversity. Twilight is about how important it is to have a boyfriend." - Stephen King.

Plots. SMeyer pretty much revolves around Bella and Edward's lust story. James and the others were just thrown in nd hardly showed up. Renesmee was another plot-throwin. Every detail in Harry Potter is important. The turban Quirrell always sported. Scabbers, Ron's rat. The locket they couldn't pry open. Everything has a place.

Stephenie Meyer says that Twilight came to her in a dream. "It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live." - Albus Dumbledore. Oh, and Joanne Kathleen Rowling puts in wise quotes. People are stupid, so stupid, to compare Twilight to Romeo and Juliet. They shouldn't even be used in the same sentence!

To avvolgere it up, Harry Potter rules for me. I did enjoy Twilight the first time I read each book, but I went back and reread the Harry Potter series. No matter what comes along in the future, such as the Hunger Games, Harry Potter will always hold a special place in my heart. Harry and his Friends were my friends. Hogwarts was my dream school. Quidditch was my preferito sport. I grew up with Harry, and I hope future generations will too!
