Scorpius POV
"See ya, dad! Bye Mum!" I shouted, hanging out the window of the Hogwarts Express! "See you, Scorpius! Have a wonderful-" my mum's voice was Lost among many others. I continued to wave, and pulled myself back into the train as it went around the first bend, leaving Platform 9 and 3/4 behind. My compartment was full to exploding, so I left in cerca of an emptier one. I looked out the windows in the hall, watching the countryside rush by. I was so absorbed that I don't notice a girl coming down the hall. We collided. "Oof." I said, falling back onto the floor. I sprung up and helped her up. "Hey. Sorry I bumped into you. I'm..." I Lost my train of thought as I looked into her shining brown eyes. "Um, hello? What were te about to say?" she questioned, giving me a confused look. I snapped back to reality. "Oh, yes. I'm Scorpius Malfoy. What's your name?" She looked at me strangely for a second, and then her expression returned to normal. "I'm Rose Weasly. Pleased to meet you." she informed me, shaking my hand. "Are te looking for somewhere to sit?" she asked, eyeing my trunk. "Yes. My compartment is really full. "Well, come on then! It's only me and my cousin in my compartment!" she said, grabbing my hand and dragging me off. A couple secondi later, she stopped and swung open one of the doors. "I'm back!" she exclaimed, talking to a boy that had a mop of messy black hair, green eyes, and round glasses. "I see that. Looks like te brought a friend." he said, looking at me. He got up and walked over. "I'm Albus Potter." he said, holding out his hand. "Scorpius Malfoy." I detto in return, grasping his hand and giving it a firm shake. "Cool name." he said, grinning. "Thanks." I told him. We sat down, and Rose sat successivo to me. Albus pulled out a book titled 'The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe' "What's that about?" I asked. "Don't know yet. I just started Leggere it in the car this morning." he replied, not bothering to look up from his book. We rode in silence for awhile, and then I felt something bump my shoulder. I looked over and saw Rose, fast asleep. I let her there. Her ginger hair fell into her face and she stirred in her sleep. "That tickles." she murmured. I quickly brushed her hair to the side, not wanting to disturb her sleep.
An ora later:
We filed into the Great Hall, gawking over the ceiling and floating candles. A Professor began to read off names for the Sorting. She finally reached the M's. "Malfoy, Scorpius!" she yelled out. Rose gave my hand a squeeze. "Good luck, Scorpius." she whispered. I walked up to the sgabello and sat down. The Sorting Hat was placed on my head, and it slid over my eyes. "Where to put you...?" I heard a voice say. "SLYTHERIN!" The Sorting Hat yelled. There was a great cheer that erupted from the Slytherin table. I went over and sat down, watching Rose and Albus. "Potter, Albus!" the professor yelled. Albus strode up, holding his head high. The sorting hat took a very short time to place him. "SLYTHERIN!" the Sorting Hat yelled, and Albus came over and sat successivo to me. "Now, let's hope Rose is in Slytherin too." he said. "Weasly, Rose!" the professor yelled out. Rose walked up slowly. The Sorting Hat was on her head for barely a second. "GRYFFINDOR!" it shouted. Rose looked over at me and Albus, tears shining in her eyes. "Sorry." she mouthed, going to sit down at the Gryffindor table. "I'm sorry too." I whispered, a tear tracing down my cheek.
