As statistics show, the Harry Potter book-movie partnership and the merchandise which stems from it has seen unprecedented success. Success, which, many could argue, is unreplicatable The reason for this, in my opinion, is that no one has ever fully explored in enough detail the why of Harry Potter. Why does it, in comparison to stella, star Wars (which I love), Indiana Jones, (which I've never seen,) and other blockbuster franchises, despite astounding success, has never quite so immersed itself in all facets of pop culture? The generation which grew up with the libri and films frequently make references and allusions as part of their vernacular. References, because of their acutely original nature, would make little sense without the Film to back them, If their had never been a Harry Potter, it would never make sense for a child to liken the school bully to Malfoy. No one would know what they were referring to, But that is beside the point. One of the main reasons why Harry Potter remains resonant material even though the last midnight book signing has happened and the last premiere has faded into a vague memory after roughly 2 years is that the story, to begin at the beginning, has many traditional elements, such as the orphan who is left with tyrannical relatives to find a comparatively Utopian reality, but adds the new, magical twist. J.K. Rowling has detto that the appeal of the magic which she manifested for her seven book saga is that there is a logic to it and that it is brought to existence da man's own power. This last is something which appeals to multiple demographics. Children, the group at which the franchise is chiefly targeted, find it invigorating that three adorable (in the film, another thing attributing to its success) children whom they could imaginatively assume to be their peers are able to bring about real change and act as a force for good in a whimsical world haunted da the prospect of evil. Parents Amore it for the reason that, despite all the darkness, which turns people off, and World War II parallels, it's an intensely moral, funny, readable story which stays with te and prompts discussion, Many people, some of great importance, have credited J.K. Rowling with singlehandedly doing più for worldwide literacy then the most fine-tuned literature school curriculum ever could. The Harry Potter series excites children about reading. Another reason to it's success is that both fuels for the massive bonfire that it has become, the libri and the movies, feed off each other. In other words, many kids have read the libri and been thrilled at the prospect of Film and vice versa. stella, star Wars is a book series, which is less well-known then the stunning Lucasfilms franchise. This balance is truly what makes Harry Potter unique. As an aside, though this may seem to some readers like an intensely analytically boring piece, it is, I think, interesting to ponder why we Amore the things we do. That is the purpose of this artlcle, written with Amore and respect for an amazing literary and cinematic triumph.
