I decided to write this articolo because I have seen many commenti lately that kind of bother me.

There are several picks in which this has come up, but the last one I have seen, and the reason why I am Scrivere this is the question: ¿Have te completely changed your attitude towards a character after reading/watching their past stories? (or something along those lines)

link

It is a really interesting question, and what really caught my attention were the answers, the comments, especially since it wasn't the first time that I am Leggere commenti like those.

The thing is that in that pick, James Potter is "winning". In other words, a lot of people say that after seeing what Harry saw on the Pensive (James and his Friends bullying Snape) they have now (and I quote) "lost all respect for him".
Another popolare answer is that after seeing Snape's back story they now "think of him as a hero".

I can't help but notice that those risposte are a bit biased. I don't mean this in a bad way I am just trying to understand why when James does it, he is HORRIBLE, but with Snape all is forgiven.

I mean their stories are identical, the only difference is that we learn about them backwards. With Snape FIRST we learn he is a bully and LATER we learn he is a Hero. While with James FIRST we learn he is a hero while LATER we learn he used to be a bully.

But in all honesty, can Leggere about someone's past make te change everything te know about them so far? Is that fair? Has no one made mistakes? Of course these characters have made mistakes, that's what makes them so REAL, but that doesn't mean they are bad, o that we can't respect them. They all have made bad choices in the past, yes... But so? WE ALL HAVE. No one here can say that haven't made any mistakes in their past, o that they don't continue making mistakes on a DAILY BASIS. The important thing and what really counts is seeing how those characters were able to turn it around, were able to mature, to change, to make up for their mistakes. THAT is what really counts because that is the most difficult thing to do.

What I don't understand is why people are able to do that for Snape but not for James.
Let's see:

Snape was a bully. Worse than James in my opinion, because he used his position of power to bully those who are in a lower position, his students. As a grown man he bullied kids, and pretty bad. He wasn't nice anyone who wasn't Slytherin, and he was specifically mean to those who needed a bit più time to learn like Neville. Yes, he was a bully... He was once a follower of Voldemort, he loved the dark arts and all of that. BUT he was able to love, he loved Lily and that saved him. His Amore turned him into a hero because after seeing what Voldemort did to her he became Dumbledore's spy, he worked to bring Voldemort down and he GAVE HIS LIFE for that cause, to protect Harry. He became a hero.

From the commenti it is sicuro, cassetta di sicurezza to assume that everyone agrees with me on that point, we are all able to overlook Snape's mistakes (which were many) and see him as a hero.

So my domanda is why can't people do that for James? Why are people suddenly saying they "lost all respect" for him just da learning that he made mistakes in the past? IT'S THE SAME STORY AS SNAPE. Let's go back again:

James and his Friends bullied Snape when they were young. They were teenagers, immature, stupid, and they bullied someone who was different from them. However, James changed. He fell in Amore with Lily and she fell in Amore with him because he changed. He matured, he joined the Order of the Phoenix in order to fight against Voldemort, to fight against a dark and unfair world. He GAVE HIS LIFE for that mission, he gave his life trying to save his wife and his son, he gave his life because he LOVED them. That makes him a hero too.

o are we able to overlook Snape's past mistakes but not James'?? Is that fair?

All I want to get out of this articolo is for people to try and think about it more. Try to look past how much they Amore Snape's character, and see the big picture. "Harry Potter" is about embracing past mistakes, and being a better person for them. That's what James did, that's what Snape did, that's what Dumbledore did, and that's what basically ALL the characters did. It's not fair to judge James for what he did when he was a kid and say te "lost all respect for him" because HE WAS a hero too. And in my opinion NO story about anyone's past should change your opinion of who they were later, of who they are now, because mistakes don't define a person. We all make them.

I hope we can all see that, and stop all the James hate that is seriously unjustified...
I do not own Harry Potter o A Midsummer Night's Dream.

How now, spirit! Whither wander you?

GRAY LADY
Over hill, over dale,
Thorough bush, thorough brier,
Over park, over pale,
Thorough flood, thorough fire,
I do wander everywhere,
Swifter than the moon's sphere;
And I serve Hogwarts’ queen,
To dew her orbs upon the green.
The cowslips tall her pensioners be:
In their oro coats spots te see;
Those be rubies, fairy favors,
In those freckles live their saviors:
I must go seek some dewdrops here
And hang a pearl in every cowslip's ear.
Farewell, thou...

I felt scared, i wasn´t sure of what happened, if it was true o not. The Augurey´s scream remained in my head… it never had this effect on me, it was so strong that I really felt like I was falling into the darkness, dying, as if I were sleep forever.

In the years following the war the Ministry of Magic struggled to regain the public's trust whilst people struggled to find peace of mind in the uncertainty of Voldemort's disappearance. In 1985 letters start appearing with a very concerning o very hopeful kind of message, depending on your point of view and personal beliefs. They are so anti-establishment, in parts so truthful, and thus potentially dangerous that the Ministry controlled Daily Prophet won't pubblica them o any talk about them on the Readers' Column.

The letters lay out a vision of future where the Ministry no longer exists...

So I know I'm gonna receive a lot of hatred for this, but I actually dislike Ginny Weasley. I don't hate her, the series are full of characters I cannot relate to o just don't like for some particular reason, for example Cho is one of them.

When I tell someone I dislike Ginny, they start to answer me like this:

"Go read the books!"

This definitely was worse for me. I disliked book Ginny more, and I got it the moment I finished Leggere the Chamber Of Secrets. She didn't even do anything in the book. It was all Harry saving her and she trembling all the book.

But more, she is wildly overrated in...

 Oh Simon! te amused me!
Oh Simon! You amused me!
Wow, I'm very happy that my first Harry Potter articolo made it to the front page regarding the Cursed Child. Here are my thoughts on my love-hate relationship with Snape!

Simon Cowell

For obvious reasons, Simon Cowell reminds me of Professor Snape as they're cold, sarcastic and aloof. It's no wonder that I develop a love-hate relationship with Snape!

His Soft Spot for Harry

Although he had a love-hate relationship, it wasn't until the secondo part of the Deathly Hallows and the Goblets of Fire. That I kind of feel bad for Snape himself, I mean he had no intentions to kill Dumbledore and being...
