​Jay Z reportedly wants to take One Direction\'s Harry Styles under his metaphorical wing in an attempt to turn him into the \'biggest artist in the world\'.

With Harry recently having registered a load of potential new solo songs on the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers database​, reports on him turning his attention towards establishing a solo career are pretty widespread. 

Revealing to The Daily Star Sunday that he would be definitely be interested in mentoring and potentially co-signing Harry, Jay shared: ​"Harry doesn\'t need any help with exposure, everybody in the world knows who he is, but he does need to make the transition from being part of a group to becoming an individual artist.

Arguing that he already has the necessary links to connect Harry to the most important people in the industry, Jay continued: "I can get him working with the bigger artists, the biggest producers - and have him as the biggest artist in the world within a year."​

Jay then suggested that he would be prepared to enter into a joint contract with Simon Cowell, revealing: "I would love to sign Harry. Simon is going to want to carry on working with him, of course. But we could do a joint venture - we both have big qualities we can bring to the table, and Harry can make more than enough money for everybody to get a piece of the pie."
