as much as i luve for him to make sequels, the ending is fine and making a sequel would change the ending

OF COURSE THERE SHOULD BE SEQUELS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If there weren't then you would never know what happens to them, and if they meet their lovers again, which i totally think should happen,lol. If it does not happen it is going to be sad because i love the movies that hayao miyazaki made

^But it's better for us to use our imaginations on what would happen to them.

I get torn between thinking that film endings are perfect and that sequels are often disappointing, and desperately wanting to see more and KNOW what happens to the characters in the future. So long as I imagine that the sequel would be done very well (as I'm sure any Miyazaki one would be--could you see him allowing a bad movie to be released?), I usually go with the latter feelings and say that yes, I'd like a sequel. Even if I wind up disliking it, it won't change my love for the original at all. If it strikes me "untrue" or unworthy of being thought of as canon (and pretty much just made for money), I could always disregard and forget it after giving it a shot.

It is such a Disney thing to do. :/
