Remember when te were a kid and in the dead of night you'd hear a sound? A sound te were convinced came from within your room? Maybe it came from underneath the floorboards, in a big old wardrobe or, even worse, from under your bed? Well if te do remember then this collection of short stories will make those bad memories burst upon your mind with a cringe and send a shiver down your spine.
There are twelve stories here.
'Forgotten' da Jack Wallen: Dylan hears an eerie voice of young girl beckoning him to play a game with her. While he is initially petrified, curiosity and bravery soon overcomes him. As Dylan befriends the little ghost girl, he is unaware that this ghost holds a dark family secret and grave intentions.
'Baby Teeth' da Kim Krodel: As Brian loses his first ever tooth, scare stories about the gruesome tooth fairy results in family tragedy.
'Madeleine' da Julianne Snow: Young Stella is plagued every night da dreams about the deaths of her family. All is forgotten however when Stella's birthday arrives and she is gifted with a beautiful doll. The doll is detto to steal away nightmares but Stella soon discovers that some things are worse than bad dreams.
'Telling Tales' da Phil Hickes: Peters Great Aunt loves to terrify the boy with violent and disturbing bedtime stories. whilst he thinks she's just mean there is a hidden warnings in those tales the boy should have listened to.
'Excess Baggage' da Lisamarie Lamb: A tale that proves not all bedtime spook stories focus on children. Adults can be targeted too.
'Timothy' da Joshua Skye: Debts must be re-paid in this violent story of a kid versus a clawed and clever beast.
'Show and Tell' da Kate Monroe: Tommy resents being the family disappointment, the laughing stock and the bullied so he calls into action his very special best friend, namely the monster that lives in his bedroom.
'The Confession of a Confirmed Has-Been' da John McIlveen: The ghost of a man becomes attached to the little girl of the family that has moved into his old home. So attached that he wants her to stay with him forever and ever.
'Seeing is Believing' da Amber Keller: The disbelieving parents of a terrorized boy discover that there really was something there all along.
'Bent Metal' da Nina D'Arcangela: A distressing nightmare about a car crash lingers in the mind of girl all giorno in this touching terrorizer with a twist.
'Shades of Red' da Colin F.Barnes: A man under arrest for mass murder accounts his early years to a psychiatrist. But did he kill o was it a something called the Shade?
'Socks' da Brandon Scott: Is a grandfather's tale of a calzino drawer monster real o folly? Empty the drawer and find out.

Altogether this a good collection of stories. The restrictions implemented da the complessivamente, generale theme of the book do lead to a little repetition in the form of content but there are also some quite brilliantly executed nail-biters that più than make up for it in the form of fresh ideas and truly interesting avenues that are as unpredictable as they are frightening. So, if te feel like reliving those formative years where ever noise in a dark room meant there was a monster just inches away, I recommend this book. Read it before te go to letto for full effect. Enjoy.
On July 1991 Jeffrey Dahmer the notorious cannibalistic serial killer was captured da police.
On November 28, 1994 Dahmer was beaten to death da another inmate...Or was he?
What if Jeff didn't really die that day. What if it was all a elaborate hoax? What if Dahmer found a way to escape jail da faking his own death?
These 'what-if's' are the basis for this taut gripping story. Part horror. Part conspiracy theory. Part police procedural. This story is all the più terrifying for the amazing amount of detail and believability that is imbued on every page.

An inventive, enjoyable and surprisingly heart-warming take on the serial killer thriller.

Charlie is a quiet man. He keeps himself to himself at work, visualizzazioni the world through highly practical eyes, is meticulous to a fault and incredible thrifty. He avoids any kind of personal contact with people and cares not a jot about anybody's feelings, desires, ideas o personalities. He is also a very successful serial killer. Keeping his killings to a strict schedule, he allows himself to hunt for a new victim once every two months and always aims for victims which he considers low risk i.e junkies...

An apocolyptic novel where a bunch of people are left on an island filled with the walking dead, each is dato a weapon and told only one must survive, all for the tele-visual entertainment of the fat and rich.A blisteringly brilliant novel from Carlton Mellick III that is hugely enjoyable with buckets of gore and violence, socio-political ideology and even the inclusion of a robotic Mr T. The zombies are più of the shuffling Romero kind but none the less deadly as the contestants die off in ever più gruesome and darkly funny ways, we begin to wonder if anyone will survive. Brilliant and hilarious.

After following the Horror Society on Twitter for a while, I was very excited to read this book. The people in the society know their stuff and with this book no gut is left un-churned, no twist denied and no moral ground left intact.
Included are eleven short stories:
LOAF DIVINE da Canaan Frank: A hotel seeks out the twisted secrets that lie within the past and conscience of a man
DEAD RINGERS da David Blackthorn: College students have an eventful night sleeping amongst the graves of plague victims
A VAMPIRE WALKS INTO A BAR da Aaron raggio, ray Ballard: A bar that plays host to many unnatural beasts...

The best thing about this short story collection is it's brazenness. It is violently visceral book staining with gore and bulging with pure nastiness. In short it's a book that any real literary horror fan should relish.
The stories include:
HEIRLOOM da Michael Laimo: An inherited fucile holds terrible memories and depraved secrets for a seriously demented killer.
VIOLENCE FOR FUN AND PROFIT da Gregory L.Norris: Vengeance becomes political manifesto in this warped view of post-Bush America.
AMPUTATIONS IN THE KEY OF D da Jack Maddox: A rock stella, star goes for a routine wart removal and ends up losing...

Being the president must be a difficult job. The last thing te need is to be infected with lice while half of America turns into vegetables and gets eaten da their pets.
This is a horror short story collection all based around the premise of presidents and/or the White House.
There's ghosts, a zombie, a werewolf, a botched assassination attempt, re-animated dead celebritàs serviced da prostitutes amongst others. The horror here is disgustingly brilliant, twisted to the extreme but always with an underlying wit and intelligence that makes every story fresh and wholly satisfying to read. Although...

Flash fiction seems to be a growing trend and in this ebook it is done brilliantly. Using EXACTLY 100 words for a story must be tricky,to instantly interest the reader but not leave them frustrated that the story ended too soon. Most of the stories included here deal with zombies. Seen from many angles there is a crude nasty humour that runs throughout most of them. It tasteless and dark but magnificent and exactly what horror fan want. There are other stories included that are of normal short story length and deal with different topics that include apocalypse and weird fantasy.
This collection is high on quality and although te may read it in one sitting some of the tales here will stay in your head for a while after. Well written and edited it is definitely worth your time.
There is an over-abundance of werewolf tales available in all forms of entertainment so finding a fresh take on this old story is very difficult but this book manages to discover one. The idea here is that a lupo lives within some people (albeit latent) just sitting there waiting for the right set of circumstances and a large amount of provocation.

The story revolves around a everyday guy called Syd, for whom life is downbeat and boring then one giorno Nora walks into his life who precedes, within a very short spazio of time, to turn his humdrum life upside down. Nora is no normal woman and the...

Horror stories evoke fear; it is the nature of the beast. So rarely do te find a horror story that causes other emotions to stir. But a good horror writer knows that in order for the fear to really pay off te have to engage the readers with not just the concept of the story but with the characters that populate the world of the story. So what if a character te don't care about dies? No matter how visceral o detailed that characters demise, without invested emotions it just doesn't resonate.
Luckily for the reader, with this story, te will care.

This is the first John Everson story I have read and after this I will definitely da Leggere more. If this gruesome, bleak and gory little tale is anything like his other works, true horror fan should not be disappointed.

In this novella we met three kids, all on a rapid downward spiral. Unpopular and rejected da others, desperate and pitiful in their actions, wasting their lives with drugs, sex, self-mutilation and suicidal thinking. All class themselves as complete failures until along comes Aaron. An older gentlemen who feasts on the ripe opportunity to lure the three no-hoper's into a horrific...
