Parallels of Elizabeth/David & Jack/Kate. AKA 'Holly has been corrupted da all te crazy Jaters ;)'
------------------
So I watched a movie last night. 'Just Like Heaven' with Reese Witherspoon & Mark Ruffalo.
It's a cute movie, nothing overly spectacular but good enough to keep te interested. The chemistry between the two leads, Elizabeth & David, is the best part in my opinion.
For most of the movie there aren't any real significant parallels between Elizabeth/David & Jack/Kate. It's only at the end, as they stand on the rooftop of her/their apartment building, that my jepic radar went off. [God damn te guys! You've got me saying jepic... *sigh*]
As Elizabeth stands there eying David, still without her memories of him/them, the scene starts to feel oddly familiar. And this is why:
Elizabeth, still confused as to why she's so drawn to David, stands there staring at him. David wants nothing più than for her to remember him, to remember THEM.
All it takes is the two of them touching, and instantly she's flooded with these immagini of the two of them together. She can feel it, they have a connection. But alas, she's still not quite sure...
But in the end, the Amore between them is too strong to be forgotten for any length of time. And they lived happily ever after!
-----------------------
So what do te guys think? Am I alone in seeing the obvious parallels here, o do te guys see it too?
*Obvious sidenote: Jack=Elizabeth / Kate=David.
