“Blair, wake up, te need to go to school sweetheart, you’re already late”
I groaned my throat was dry; I slowly opened my eyes, remembering what happened last night.
“Oh dear, Blair, te don’t look so good, are te feeling sick?”
I tried to get out of bed, and had a massive headache, feeling dizzy; I tried to walk to the door falling over on my attempt.
“Blair, baby, I don’t think te should go to school today, te look sick, and te can’t even walk to your door”
“Wa” was all I could manage to say
“What Blair, I didn’t understand?”
“Water” I detto again, through my dry throat.
“Oh right, ill go and get te some, just lie down” did Jake give something last night to make me sick? I don’t understand. Mum came back and I ended up sculling 4 glasses of water, still feeling crap.
“Um, honey…”
“What is it mum?” I detto again through my croaky throat.
“Well, it’s just, I had another couple of job interviews today…I can cancella them and stay here with you.”
“No, mum ill be fine, I just need to drink fluids and rest, te go”
“Are te sure honey, I feel bad leaving te alone”
“Yes mum go” Mums phone rang and she answered it.
“Hello? Oh hi Billy…no she’s not at school….she is sick….I see…well if te don’t mind, I don’t want to leave her here da herself…yes….okay thank te very much Billy you’re a life saver…bye”
“Blair, im going to drop te off at Billy’s for the day, is that alright?”
“Yeah that’s fine” I sighed
“Just pack some clothes o whatever te need and ill take te there now”
I started packing random things, I didn’t really care. I had a quick warm shower, it felt nice, the warmness reminded me of Jacob. I got out quickly; blow dried my hair then straightened it. I just put on some leggings and my warm jumper and we were off to Billy’s.
“Be good Blair” mum detto as we arrived at Billy’s
“Don’t worry I will, good luck with the interviews” I said, my voice was becoming less croaky, but I still felt dizzy. Mum drove off and I grabbed my bags, just before I went to knock on Billy’s door, the door flew opened and I saw Jacob standing there smiling. He automatically hugged me; well it was più like lifting me off the ground spin hug.
“Wow, Jake don’t forget I’m sick” I said, he laughed
“You can stop pretending now Blair” he detto still smiling. Pretending? I wasn’t pretending.
“Jake im serious, this morning I barely had any balance, my throat was so dry and I had headaches and filling dizzy at the same time, and I still feel dizzy!”
Jakes smile faded away and he had those same sad eyes again.
“Blair, im so sorry this is my entire fault; I shouldn’t have come last night”
“Jake, its not your fault don’t worry about it” he sighed and took my bags.
He told me to go and lie down on the couch, but I just sat down instead, I was feeling better, I just kept on drinking water, seemed to have done the trick. Jake was sitting on the floor leaning on the divano watching the TV like there wasn’t enough room for him to sit on the divano too. Jake sighed still staring at the TV. I was starting to get concerned; didn’t he want to tell me something? I decided not to bring it up in case he changed his mind about telling me. I got up from the divano and opened my bag, looking around for something to do. I found my I pod, thank god, it really needs a Musica update, I put the headphones in my ears and cranked up the volume. I liked listening to my R&B, indie music; some old Musica like from the 80’s anything that sounded good really. I flopped back down on the couch. Jake started flicking through the channels on the TV seeming to not like anything that was on. He got up looking around frustrated. He walked into a room; I was guessing his bedroom and slammed the door. Okay? I sighed again, this is getting really weird.
“Blair, would te like some water o anything?” Billy asked.
“No, I think ill be fine, I might just go for a walk to the spiaggia if that’s alright?”
“Yeah sure, it’s a bit chilly outside maybe te want to change?”
I nodded and took out my track pants and changed in the bathroom. I walked out the door still listening to my I pod and walked through the forest again. It wasn’t actually that windy out here for once, but it was freezing, lucky I changed my pants. I sat down on the log again. I decided to give the I pod a rest. I felt sad, for some reason, I was sad that Jake was angry, I was sad that I had to get sick today and I was sad that Jake had to come into my bedroom scare the crap out of me telling me he needs to tell me something important, but doesn’t tell me anything, this really sucks. All of a sudden I heard something in the woods, I jumped up from the log, I was eye balling the forest waiting for another noise, again I heard it, like someone stepping on sticks, maybe it was Jake? But then I heard a non-human sound, a growling sort of sound, okay Jake doesn’t growl! I started to breathe loudly again freaking out, then I couldn’t believe my eyes, I saw three gigantic wolves, like abnormally huge for wolves, and they were all growling at me, I knew it I was going to get eaten. One was black another was Cioccolato brown and the third one was grey, they started coming closer to me, growling I freaked out and screamed as loud as I could and started sprinting to the forest not knowing where I was running, I fell over a root that was in the ground and started crying again, stupid, stupid uncoordinated girl get up, I tried getting up but my ankle was killing ‘OW’ I thought out loud, I turned around, but I couldn’t see any gigantic wolves, I fell to the ground again and was holding my knees, crying and trying to breathe at the same time, it started to rain and I didn’t know how long I was here for, I didn’t have any energy to go home, I didn’t even know where I was running.
“BLAIR” I heard a familiar voice, why? Why does he always have to find me and see my like this.
“Blair!” I heard again and heard him running towards me. I didn’t want to look up and see Jacobs face. His huge arms wrapped around my body and I could feel he was shirtless again, I didn’t realise how cold I was until Jacobs unusual body heat started burning through my clothes on my skin.
“Blair, are te hurt?” Jacob asked worried. I didn’t want to answer, but I knew I had too; I looked at forest, not his face, and detto
“My ankle” in a weak voice.
Jacob got up and helped me again, he got my arm and put it around his shoulder and helped me walk through the forest.
“Jake!” I heard several male voices call out to him.
I still didn’t know where we were; only that Jacob didn’t say one word to me for at lest fifteen minutes. Out of the trees in the forest, three other huge shirtless guys were walking to our direction.
“Sam don’t worry she’ll be fine” Jacob detto in an angry tone.
“Then why is she limping?” Sam’s deep tough voice asked
“She fell” Jacob answered, still angry.
I managed to only notice one of the guys, Quil. The other two were still unfamiliar faces to me.
“Hey Blair” Quil detto
“Hi Quil” I managed to say, I was so shocked da what I had just seen. Why didn’t the Lupi come back for me? It was unusual, weird.
”Billy is not home, so we should get her back to your house and take care of her ankle” Sam I think his name was said. Jake just nodded and lifted me up instead; I looked at him as if I couldn’t walk.
“It will be quicker” he detto still with an angry tone.
They started to walk, più like running for me towards Jakes house.
Jake just lied me down on the divano and walked to the kitchen. The Sam guy leaned over me.
“Blair im Same Uley, this is Paul, im sure te know Quil”
I just nodded; Jacob came back and gave each one a camicia to put on.
“Blair” Sam detto still kneeling successivo to me. “What exactly happened?”
I sighed, thinking if I should tell them about the Lupi o not, what the heck I thought, ill probably sposta successivo mese before they could think im crazy.
“Um, well…” I swallowed “I went for a walk to the spiaggia and I sat at this log, then…” I breathed. “I heard some noises in the forest, first thinking it was Jake, that was until I heard these un-human growling noises, I jumped up and started to panic, that’s when I saw three abnormal gigantic wolves, I didn’t know what to do so I screamed and started running anywhere, then I fell from a albero root, and the Lupi weren’t following me anymore”
Sam looked at Jake and it looked like they were talking through their eyes. Jake nodded and Sam looked at me again.
“Do te remember what colour the Lupi were Blair?” Sam asked me
I tried to remember the Lupi again, fear started to take over my body again as I thought of them.
“There was one Black, one greyish colour, and one Cioccolato brown…I think” I detto shakily. Jake sat down at the cucina bench and let his head drop to his palms.
Paul came back with some ice for my ankle, it was swollen.
“Blair did te see anything else?” Sam asked me.
I didn’t remember seeing anything else except for the frightening wolves.
“I don’t think so” I replied.
Sam just nodded and walked towards Jacob and whispered something to him. Quil and Paul were just lounging around on the couches watching some TV.
Jake got up and walked towards me. He touched my forehead.
“Blair, te don’t understand how sorry I am” I was still staring at his beautiful face.
“I shouldn’t have let te go alone, I shouldn’t have gotten angry before, then that stupid bloodsucker wouldn’t have come” he detto starting to get angry again. Bloodsucker? What was he referring to the wolves? I was confused.
“Jake…bloodsucker?” he just looked at me stroking my head.
“Blair I will promise te I will explain everything, just I cant now” I just nodded, what did he need to tell me? I didn’t understand. Jake walked off and was talking with the others; I started to feel drowsy and drifted off to a sleep.
