Decide which kind of Anime te want to watch based on general type, demographic o themes.

Start da researching. If te don't have a preferito Anime series o movie, find out what that is first and then surf the web for fan-sites so te can learn più about it and find out about similar anime. Go a little further in your research than just the plot o characters. If it's a historical anime, research the period in history. Find out what style it's in as well (Wikipedia has a good articolo which breaks down the different Anime genres).
