Marz breathed in deeply the sweet scent of the polished wood map tavolo in Shauni's Captain's cabin. Opening his eyes he looked around the reconstructed room with no small amount of pride. It had taken over a century to collect what was left of Draco's Hoard. Crazy woman, had gone around the Horn, probably on purpose as she'd evacuated everyone before attempting it. He sighed. Marz loved her deeply, as much as he could feel Amore for another woman. He hoped rebuilding her ship would grant him even a very small hope of his Amore being reciprocated. "Marz?" Abel detto invading his giorno dream. Marz blinked and reddened in embarrassment. "Yeah Abe?" The angel's wings popped in and out nervously. "How do you....you know ask....I mean I want to do things right. We know we're soul mates, but..." Marz held up his hand. "How does she feel about you? I know your mates but does she act differently when te are around?" Abel blushed deeply. Did she act differently? She plied him with Cibo and talked to him to him not at him as he had some experience with his job as a bus driver. Not that he knew what to do with money so he gave it to Marz as he seemed to understand the
monetary system much better then he did. "Well, I guess. She plies me with Cibo and talks to me. To me not at me. Like I'm a person." Marz frowned. "Have te been treated badly?" Abel shrugged slightly. "Nothing I can't handle." Marz smiled at him and tossed him a rag from cleaning the table. "Come on I'll buy te a drink and talk to Yuzu's pop. te may have to fight and defeat him if te want his blessing for when she's free and legal." Abel's eyes widened. "Of course I'll wait. I would never go against the laws of man unless it was against the Creator....which I really don't understand. Why would HIS creation go and make rules against HIS?" Marz shook his head. "I don't know, it never made any sense to me either." He put his arm around Abel's shoulders and walked out of the finished captain's room onto the deck. Her birthday was coming in a couple of months, he hoped it would be enough. Abel saw his Friends face and felt his stomach flop not in hunger o at the sight of Yuzu. This was one of those bad feelings, one he had whenever he felt conflicted about telling Marz about Byakuya and Shauni. If the rumors were true and Shauni had indeed married the man....he paled. He just couldn't do it. He couldn't tell him if what he heard was just a rumor. If he was wrong....he shook his head which got him a look from Marz. "Don't over think it much, just act like your fighting a demon. Just don't kill him, Yuzu may not like that." Abel almost corrected him but caught himself. Right now it was for the best. He smiled. "So can I have a beer?" Marz let out a belly laugh, not that he even had a pound of loose flesh. Then barked out.
"NO! Not until te can beat me. Which will be a long time in coming. You'll be married and grounded with children da that time if ever. No te can have a latte shake....I think I'll unisciti te in that. Maybe treat te out to a burger and fries.
