“How long do te think we can stay out here before somebody comes looking for us?” Lindsay asked, staring across the rooftop at the darkening city.

Danny wrapped his arms around her from behind and tucked his head against her shoulder. “I figure we’ve got half an ora at least.”

She smiled. “I don’t suppose te have anything in mind for that time, do you?”

He grinned at her. “I might be able to think of something. The city’s beautiful, huh?”

She nodded. “It’s amazing. Look at the Chrysler Building,” she added, pointing across the skyline.

“You’re even più beautiful.”...

Chapter 1: My home and My Love

New York, 1928.

It was late. Danny was still sitting at his desk, working on a file. One file of a huge stick of paperwork his boss Mac Taylor had dato to him early in the morning when he had arrived at the large building. The stick had been waiting on his scrivania, reception already. Now there were two sticks, the one with the yet to do work unfortunately still higher than the one with the already finished files.

I walked into the lab and stepped into the lounge area. There was only me and lindsy here everyone else was in macs office. this was going to be a slow night. I walked in a sat right beside her.
