have long been hoping that Professor X will eventually make an appearance on the series.

There have been teases in the past, like during the Shadow King\'s first \'death\', which featured a scene recreated from the

comic books but avoided showing his opponent (Professor X in the comic).

Speaking to Digital Spy, Navid Negahba, who plays the Shadow King in season two, revealed there had been \'talks\' about involving Charles Xavier, but not even he\'s sure if it will happen.

"There were some talks, but I don\'t know how real the talks were. Truly, I don\'t know. That\'s all up to Noah [Hawley,

Negahba added that he too saw the similarities between the Shadow King \'death\' scene and the comic book.

"I saw it, and I saw the images that were compared with the comic book, and I tried to stay as true as possible to the moment," he said.

"Especially something that comic book fans are so familiar with, I didn\'t want to disappoint them. I hope I did it justice."

With four episodes left in season two, Negahba promises we\'ll learn more about the Shadow King and his story.

"You will definitely get to know the Shadow King a little bit more," he revealed.

"You will get to know a little bit more about his journey and his background. And you\'re in for surprises!

"Even though the entire show is never quite as you see it is, and you have to second guess yourself, at the end of the season, you will be… I think you will be stuck with the question \'

What!? What next?! What is going to happen now?\'

has been increased to 11 episodes, giving the show the opportunity to include some scenes that previously ended up on the cutting room floor.

"Now they\'ve added the extra episode, so you will also get to see some of the things that were cut out, maybe some things were cut out because episodes were too long, not everything was together, and now it reveals more," Negahba said.

airs on Tuesdays at 10/9c on FX in the US. In the UK, it airs on FOX – and is also available via NOW TV.
