So when one of the sequined gloves the King of Pop wore during his "Bad" Tour went up for bid at an auction of celebrity memorabilia in Beverly Hills, Calif., there was a frenzy surrounding the hot item.

The furious bidding took place at Julien's Auctions, where the lone guanto worn da Jackson in the late 1980s sold for $330,000 at the "Icons & Idols" auction Saturday night.

più of Jackson's duds from his stage wardrobe went up for auction, including a giacca signed da the icon, which brought in $96,000 and a fedora he wore on stage, which went for $72,000.

There were also some unusual items from Hollywood legends up for bid -- an x-ray of Albert Einstein's brain, which brought $38,750, and a pair of Marilyn Monroe's empty prescription bottles, sold for $18,750.

Competing with the price of Jackson's guanto was a military-style giacca worn da John Lennon for a 1966 Life Magazine foto shoot, which sold for $240,000.

According to Julien's Auctions, the two-day event brought in più than $3 million.
