I liked him before died but I did join this after because I didn't even know about fanpop.
And I hate when people just say they like him because he died! They'll be like I loved him so much, he was so great and they I'll say really cuz before he died you said he was a freak.

I was an MJ fan since I was little! I remember watching Ghosts, Jam, Remember the Time, Smooth Criminal & Speed Demon expecially Black or White. I've loved him since! I listened to his music before he passed away, I rarely believed the rumors & crap, mostly cuz those around me (my mom) didn't believe that bs either, and I still don't.
I joined this spot when I joined fanpop in the summer of 2008, and its crazy how much bigger this club has gotten

He was like a divinity to me, because he was so awesome!!!
But I didn't "know" him as a person, he was just my favourite artist...now he's the man of my life, and I love him so much!

i heard abc when i was 3, but had no way of listing to him until july of 2009 when i got a laptop but i always reconized his name and always knew he had a white glove...

I only knew about him when he died... so sad,

I grew up on him :) but I had no idea that something like fanpop exists!

I never really knew him that much being born in 1997 there wasn't much on TV about him but I ALWAYS LOVED HIS MUSIC just didn't know Fanpop existed until last year when a friend told me about it :')

I hate when people say that no one liked him before. Like, WHAT? If it's so, then who bought all the tickets for the This Is It concerts? Helloooo, there were a lot of fans around the globe, just because you didn't know him and his supporters doesn't mean they never existed or whatever...

I was born only after the HIStory tour ended. & i could never really like him because of my family who all hate him so i never saw him on t.v. the first time i ever heard a song of his was in 2nd grade when we did a musical & performed Rockin' Robin.

i was born in 1999..sadly i didn't really get to know about him that much and his life, but i have always loved his music as a child and i still do and he was a genius LOVE YOU MJ RIP
