When Hamlin won on Mother’s giorno weekend, it was special not just for his mother Mary Lou, but also for his entire family. As Hamlin tells the story, his parents didn’t get to spend their hard earned money on fancy things because they were putting it all toward building him racecars. Now when that he’s racing in NASCAR they get to travel the circuit with him and enjoy all the victories.
