Olly Murs is far and away one of the most unexpected success stories to come out of

. Don\'t get us wrong, he\'s a talented guy and generally a very good popstar. But you have to remember that he placed second after Joe McElderry in 2009 and was in the dreaded Over 25s category.

So the very fact that in 2016 he is gearing up to release one of the year\'s most anticipated albums to follow the resounding successes of his previous four collections is remarkable. And it sounds like he\'s coming back bigger and better than ever, albeit with a bruised heart.

Olly Murs new album release date: It\'s coming in 2016

last winter (and finding it very stressful), Olly Murs is returning to the day job with a brand new album.

, which peaked at number one in the UK and sold nearly a million copies. Lead single \'You Don\'t Know Love\' is out now, launching the new campaign with the biggest banger of Olly\'s career.

But when can we expect the parent album? Well looking back at Olly\'s previous release pattern, it doesn\'t take a forensic investigator to reach a pretty certain conclusion. Basically, Olly has a very solid habit of releasing albums at the very end of November.

Considering \'You Don\'t Know Love\' is out now as his summer single, we\'d assume a follow-up will be out in October ready for a new album in November. If we\'re wrong, we\'ll eat Olly\'s hat ourselves. It also means the Essex crooner will be releasing at the prime time for that inevitable

live show performance. Just keep him away from announcing the deadlock result, yeah?

Olly Murs new songs and credits: What\'s it going to sound like?

It sounds like the cheeky chap\'s new music is heading towards his Adele moment. The usually chipper popstar has already admitted that his fifth collection is a break-up album, meaning it\'ll be packed with heartache and angst. He\'s already issued a warning to his ex.

"Maybe it will be difficult for her to listen to," he said back in June. "Some days I would walk into the studio and all the guys would be really excited and I\'d say, \'I\'m not feeling it, I\'m just in one of those moods today, I feel quite lonely and sad. I can\'t bring myself to be happy today\'." Aww, poor Olly.

But despite his downbeat mood in the studio, the 32-year-old has kept his sound energetic. Well, for the first single at least. As we mentioned earlier, \'You Don\'t Know Love\' is a huge banger, with a chorus bigger than Simon Cowell\'s ego. It has flourishes of those au courant tropical electronics, without completely selling its soul to the passing trend.

"I\'m excited about the new song," he said. "I think fans are going to be a bit surprised. The album feels amazing. I say it every time, but as an artist you do have a feeling, and I genuinely think it\'s the best album I\'ve done. Because of the experiences I\'ve had over the past 12 months, I\'d never really wrote an album about a break-up or anything that\'s quite sad in my life – everything\'s always been so positive."

Olly has confirmed that he has co-written a track with MNEK for the new album, who has previously penned hits for the likes of Madonna and Beyoncé. Then there was his studio session with former Ordinary Boys frontman Samuel Preston earlier in the year. An acoustic guitar was involved, so make of that what you will.

The general consensus about the album from Olly, though, is that it\'s "slightly different" from anything he\'s ever done before, without completely straying from the "energy" that has turned him into one of the UK\'s most loved popstars.

"There\'s a real honesty in the music," he said recently. "But also I didn\'t want to alienate \'Kiss Me\' from last year because that was such a good track for me. So this has got that nice element that\'s able to take me into another direction."

Olly Murs tour and tickets: Will he be heading out on the road again?

It\'s all good and well having Olly\'s latest and greatest bangers on your playlist, but you want to go and see the main man perform live yourself, right? Right. Well, chances are you\'re in luck, as Olly has toured every single one of his albums so far.

, Olly embarked on a nationwide tour of the UK, playing arenas up and down the country. Expect the same again for this album. Again, judging by his well executed plans so far in his career, we\'d wager that tickets will be released before Christmas ready for a big tour next spring.

But following his huge showings at V Festival last year and with Take That at London\'s Hyde Park earlier this summer, we wouldn\'t even rule out a few major festival sets. V Festival was a resounding success, so is he ready for the big slot? We wouldn\'t bet against it at this point.
