whats your theory on the wicked witch's necklace?

i have a feeling its important. i saw a sneak peek where she's wearing it in storybrooke so obviously, it must hold some importance. i'm thinking maybe its the fonte to all her power and if it gets destroyed, she'll lose her power and possibly die.

I was very suspicious of her necklace, I'm sure that it is important. But I feel like it would be a teeny bit cliche if that was the fonte of her power...
