ok here are my thoughts....im happy that OTH will have Luke back cause he was the main character for at least 2 seasons and OTH will almost be like the original one at the beginning....but i dont like AT ALL the idea of Luke alone without Peyton and frankly i am terrified that Leyton will be given a terrible storyline as how come Peyton is not coming back............

And what makes it even worse is that they claim that Hilarie wasn't even invited. It would be one thing if they invited her, and she wasn't able to make it, or even just flat out declined. Then I could understand them atleast wanting to bring Chad back, if they were able to. But to just not invite her, simply because she declined to come back LAST season is complete bullshit. Things change. Maybe she had prior obligations last season that interfered with her wanting to return. Maybe she would actually make an exception, for the show's FINAL season. But no, let's just not even offer the chance to her. Bullshit.

Lucas returning without her, and without his "happily ever after" family that they spent 6 seasons building up to is going to feel like the most awkward, incomplete thing ever. This just proves that the show has resorted to simply doing whatever is easiest... not what makes sense. Lucas is returning. Great. But if Mark thinks that that alone is enough to satisfy the majority of his viewers, he's greatly mistaking.

she wasnt asked back apparently its coz she is busy on white collar and has a little boy now, but to be honest she is finished with white collar til jan so she has plenty of free time to spend with her family and go to wilmington, plus she is there every so often any way with her doing her sogopro thing. i want both them back it just wont feel right at all, i just hope mark makes it out she is just busy with music and i hope he brings sawyer brooke scott. its good that lucas is back but i wanted leyton because i wanted the core 5 to end the show like how it began :(

i agaree with you kelly i want them both back. i mean it is great chad is welcomed back, but mark has always held a grudge on hilarie just coz she couldnt come back, well neither could chad he was doing a film in lousianna, sorry about the spelling. she is finished with white collar til next year now and the man behind white collar said she could go back, so it is total bullshit i agree. they need to ask sge back coz then season 6 just feels like a lie now, they had a lovely ending so why break it. mark is such a knob at times.

And sorry BL fans, as much as most of you are probably cheering right now, and hoping for a good BL scene out of this... I wouldn't get your hopes up. Brooke is still married to Julian, now. So it's not like they're going to have a heart to heart, "unresolved feelings", "I will always love you" type of BL scene.

And on the slight chance that BL do get a scene, I'd be willing to bet that Peyton would be mentioned in there, somewhere... considering that Brooke will most likely ask about her. My point is just that I can't see this turning out as a good thing for either fanbase. :/

^totally agree with you kelly....this return i think will be a bad thing for both fanbases...i dont think either Brucas fans and especially us Leyton fans will be pleased this season....i really really hope that i will be proven wrong in this one....

a lucas appearance without peyton? good luck with that. i'm SURE that'll go well, and feel completely natural. i'm SURE that whatever excuse they give for him returning without her will make complete sense. and i'm sure that BL will have an amazinggg scene, exchange loving looks along with their signature eye sex, and sparks of love will just be flying all over the place... and all will be well in OTH land. I'm soooo happy. And not because of anything w/ shipping preferances. Would it be amazing if BL actually had a significant scene together? Of course. Would it be amusing if they randomly killed off Peyton or Luke came back divorced alone with Sawyer? Maybe. I wouldn't doubt that even with his return that the show could still make it damaging to both the LP and BL fanbase.

I'm just estatic as a fan of the show. It shouldn't end without Lucas. To see him with his brother, what the whole show was originally about. Maybe Dan, Jamie. Haley, Brooke. It's just so beyond worth it and absolutely nothing to complain about...to me. There's some real closure lacking in pretty much all the relationships and I'll take what I can get.

I'm not happy that Chad's returning and Hilarie isn't... I'm just happy Chad is returning.
Of course I would have loved it if they both could have returned. I would have loved to see all 5 main cast members back together & to see Brooke & Peyton reunite. I'm not a Leyton fan, but I wouldn't have really worried about having too much Leyton in my face if both actors returned since their purpose would be to further the story lines that already exist... not to create their own Leyton story line. Breyton scenes, Brucas scenes, Pulian scenes, Lathan scenes, Laley scenes, Paley scenes... I want them all. But I'll take any that I can get since I figure there is no way we'd get all those scenes. So if I just get a nice Laley or Lathan scene by Lucas returning- then I'd rather that over nothing.
And as people have said numerous times over the past week or so on this spot... Lucas was the main character of the show- whether fans liked him the majority of the time or not- so it's most important for his character to return.

I'm happy we'll see Lucas...not because of Brucas, not because of Laley, and not because of Lathan (even though I'd be excited for those scenes)... but because it's Lucas. I'm definitely not the biggest Lucas fan, but he was important to OTH and I'm glad he'll be there to end the show.
I'm dissapointed we won't see Peyton... IF she's definitely 100% not returning. But I'll just wait and see how things play out.

I am happy Chad is coming back. I love Lucas but only half of Leyton....I have a fear in my heart it means bad things for us LP fans. However I am happy to have a chance to maybe find out what's been up with them. I just hope Mark does a good job wrapping it all up.

@TBSAC: I wouldn't care if BL have a scene cos Mark would end up making it all crappy anyway.. I would be over the moon if BL did have a scene because BL fans deserve a 'closure' scene so to speak! BL were just given this stupid wedding scene discussing Julian and the 5 seasons before that were treated like they never existed so it would be fair to say that at least a scene were both tell each other how much they miss each other and it doesn't have to be romantic words because BL have this thing called chemistry that takes care of that!

Its just our chance to get a proper scene that means something.. You don't need endgame to prove how simply amazing a couple is.!
