So Tamaki turns Kanoya down. They never mostra it but they kind of say that he declined her offer. But they're still Friends and hang out. In the very successivo chapter (66 in fact) they're eating a homemade lunch she made for the two of them in the garden. While all the other Hosts spy on them! lol The boys talk about how "Princess Kanoya" advanced on Tamaki and confessed her feelings to him. Haruhi starts to worry and wonder what his response was. The boys and Haruhi get caught da Tamaki (they're hiding in the bushes and being quite loud lol) and he invites them to come share the lunch. Of course Kanoya is a great cook which makes it hard for the boys to hate her! lol
Tamaki excuses himself with Kyoya (Kyoya lectured him for not mostrare up at the host club at all the giorno before) causing Kanoya to worry that her lunch didn't taste good. The boys all comfort her and explain that Tamaki can sometimes be odd. She disagrees and describes how she sees him, how he's wonderful and she's happy whenever she thinks about him. This makes Haruhi worry. She feels that maybe Tamaki deserves better. She notices that Kanoya puts him first and that she really cares about him a lot. Haruhi also thinks about how her and Tamaki are so different.
Kyoya asks Tamaki about Kanoya's confession. Tamaki describes to him his great desire to have a wonderful family all in one big house. He ends up basically saying that the Hosts are the family in Giappone that he couldn't have with his Grandmother. He says that he's seriously thought about what Hikaru detto about Haruhi but that he's happy with his life right now. He says that he's very happy with his Friends and he doesn't want to break those relationships even temporarily. He tells Kyoya that he's clinging to the life he created and that he can't give anything to Kanoya.
After the boys finish lunch and Kanoya leaves they tell Haruhi about her family's divorce. When she's home she's thinking and realizes that she understands a little better what Kanoya is going through. While she's musing about all of this she unconsciously puts on the ring that Tamaki bought for her. (Awww! SO freaking cute!) She freaks out, pulls it off and decides that Tamaki must have known about Kanoya's situation and that he could really help her with it.
While she is musing Kyoya calls her and asks her to meet them at the Host Club. When she gets there she finds out that all the boys (besides Tamaki who is off being nursed da Kanoya) have devised a plan to help Tamaki. Honey says: "We'll become the idiots because our idiot can't take his role right now!" lol They take Tamaki's usual role of setting up a "Top Secret" plan. But this one is to help him!
