Where were te on September 11,2001?

A party. It was for a birthday party. Kiley was waiting for her father. Who was working at the World Trade Center. He died in it. So she never partied again.


For my best friend Charlie, she was at school with her mom voting. She went home with her and they watched the news. Charlie still thought her father was alive. Jessi, her older sister explained everything and she was depressed until Christmas.

I was 4.
I was in my parents room, watching the crash in fascination. Sorry that the people died, but it's really not THAT big of a deal. Way più people died in thee Iraq war, and do we have a giorno dedicated to them? Noooooooo. And the Iraq war was AMERICAS FAULT. My guess is most people really don't care as much about foreign lives as we do our own, which is sad.

I was in preschool and my mom told me that they were in a lockdown but she came to get me anyway.She wasnt about to leave there without me.

I was five. I don't remember, except for some "big news" on the Televison. I left the room, and didn't stick around to find out. Mom told me later in my room what happened. I was scared.

I was in the 5th grade..I remember hearing it on the news.I couldn't belive it.I hoped it was a giant practical joke.I guess i was in denial back then.It took me a while to except what happened.

I was in kindergarten. I was home when the planes crashed, but my mom still sent me to school. She wasn't going to, but her friend convinced her that I'd be sicuro, cassetta di sicurezza & it would be better for me & her because I wouldn't be home and asking why she was crying. So, essentially I don't remember, this is what my mother told me.

Apparently that night I was scared to I slept in my parents room.

I was five at the time, and, for some reason, I have absolutely no memory of anything at that time.

I was 5 years old when it happened, so I can't remember much about it, but today I see it that 9/11 was when America was attacked and when the world trade center got destroyed along with the people that died in it

I was 12 years old, in 7th grade. I remember coming home from school seeing it on the news and i asked my mom what happened and she told me. My jaw dropped.

I was in my 8th grade english class. I remember my teacher's face when another teacher told her what was going on. They then took us all to the biblioteca and they put on CNN and we watched what seemed like some movie...I'll never forget that day.

I was 7 too but all i remember is being at home watching tv thinking "Why are we watching the same movie scene over and over again?" I seriously thought it was a movie.

I was in Elementary school. I don't think I even knew anything happened. My parents are Chinese, so they didn't told me anything. I don't really have a memory on it =/

I was in Giappone in the middle of a typhoon.

I was only four when it happened. The only thing I remember on that giorno was when I came home from school, and my mom was sitting in the living room, watching the news and sobbing. I hugged her and looked at the TV, and I saw the smoke around the buildings. I asked, "Mommy, what's wrong? Is the movie making te sad?" and she just stayed silent. It wasn't until a few days later that she told me about the terrorists, and I had nightmares about it for two weeks.

At was school in my secondo grade class also and I was 7 too, my whole school went out side to the schools flag ploe, and we prayed and had a moment of silence too, and yes we still have moment of scilenes in my old elementry school, and in my high school...my thoughts and prayers go out to the families that have Lost loved ones in this tragedy...God Bless...

I was on vacation in Orlando Florida at Disney world!! I get up very early every morning. I was making coffee and was getting ready to make breakfast for everyone who was there with us. I was trying to watch TV and looking into the tana, den with the volume turned way down (not to wake everyone else up) and saw the first plane go into a building. My first thought was I put on some sifi channel instead of the news. I went in to change the channel and while looking to see what channel was news I saw the successivo plane go into the other building. Before I knew it ...it was real life and I turned up the volume for everyone else to wake up and come to see that our country was under attack!!!!
We all had people there in New York and we were all on different phones trying to get in touch with our relatives. For almost the whole giorno watching over and over what was going on... we finally got through to hear that our Friends and family were OK but they were involved with what was going on in New York!!!
So while I was in "Fantasy land" the real world was going to hell!!!!

Yup, then I was 2. I still remember that my Dad brought in my Mom. He was watching the news and right as my Mom walked in, the 2nd plane crashed.
What're the odds?

I just remember watching it happen on TV over and over again and thinking "Why are they mostrare this over and over again?"

I was in kindergarden when 911 happened. My dad brought me home to my mom and baby brother, he told me if we were gonna die also we would die as a family. All I remember was every channel on the tv was the video of what happened. Its a shame the fight is still going on...

yeah, a lot of people in my school are children of military families. i really dont feel loyal to the US but despite that 911 was still a tragedy because of so many innocent lives taken.

Back then I was a preschool student. We didn't have school that giorno (We didn't go every single giorno to school. Only a few days of the week.) and I was sitting in front of the TV. Then the breaking news segnala came on. I never saw anything about the twin towers, but I saw something about the pentagon. I remember my mom standing up from her chair in an angry fashion and yelled " I ate there! How dare they! " and stormed out of the room. I didn't understand until we didn't have school the successivo day.

A friend of mine had an uncle that worked there. He was running late that day, and when he looked up at the towers he saw the planes crash into it. His girlfriend worked there as well, but she had an earlier time to get in there than he did and wasn't late, so she died. It must have been hard for him.

in 1st grade, i was 6 years old. i remember we came in from recess, & my teacher detto something very sad happened, & then this kid started
fake-crying, lol totally inapropreate i know, but we were just kids...the teacher explained to us what happened, & i didn't quite understand, & when i got home my parents explained further...

I was in Giappone visiting my dad's side of the family before I had to go back to the States and go to school again. I think it was at night when we got a call from my aunt (on my mom's side) telling us the news. My parents were really quiet after that. The successivo morning we were going to see if our flight was still open but it wasn't, so we stayed for another week and I was a few days late for school. When I got back one of my Friends was crying. His cousin worked there. Everyone detto that he hadn't stopped crying since the incident. I won't forget that.
I was eight at the time. My family hasn't gone to Giappone in September since then. And each anno we hold a silent vigil to remember those people.

I was in the 5th grade... maybe 4th grade, I had just turned 9, and that morning I remember the usual getting up, eating cereal w/ my brothers. On TV my mom usually watches the news in the morning, so she was watching the news & they showed the first tower... then the 2nd... I still went to school, and they had us wait in the library, and all the teachers were in there & they had the TVs on... I remember parents were trying to pick their kids up, but we were all so confused cuz we were so young... very unforgettable day

Well, I was in the secondo grade, so I'm guessing I was at school. I don't actually remember the day. But the successivo giorno at school our teacher was mostrare us the newspaper & on the front cover was the towers.

I don't remember the actual event (I was only four) but I do remember in secondo grade my teacher just had us draw farfalle all giorno in class. She detto that something really sad had happened on that giorno and she didn't want to see sad things anymore. Then the successivo giorno we walked in and our whole classroom was covered in glitter and butterflies.

I was about 5..I remember being at my grandma house where u can c it happenin. I cried my eyes out I cudnt believe the site my grandma said. Today I am 13 and last anno 9-11-09 my little cousin was born.

i have an amazing memory, i was in kindergarten and they released us early,but i was going 2 the bathroom when the planes were crashing and i had pasted a teachers lounge with the news on and i saw them crash and went in2 class and told my teacher. i was really scared.

I was Friends birthday party (that's right, she shares her birthday with 9/11). Her Mum called us into the living room and showed us the clip on the TV, the one with just one tower on fire, I think. I was only five, so I can't really remember all that well. It didn't really click at the time, but my family was on superiore, in alto of the towers two weeks earlier on holiday, which is scary.

I don't remember much of that giorno since I was only eight years old when it happened. The sad thing is that I never even heard about it until I was in the sixth grade! I mean, I never heard the teachers mention it in school and I never heard my family o my Friends talking about it. It was only until in the sixth grade when my teacher detto that to those of us who don't know about it, shame on us. Since I've learned about it I decided to look up più stuff about it but I couldn't look at much because it seemed to painful, especially when I watched a video of it that was from a pedestrian's camera and looking at all the damage and thinking about all those poor souls I just couldn't look anymore :'(

A Friends birth giorno party, like Loopy. It didn't really mean anything. I remember seeing the image of a plane crashing on the news, but then turning my attention to te Skips I was eating.

I was in my house watching TV. I was 9. I don't get the point of this question.

i was in school that giorno and i was in kindergarten. i remember my mom coming to pick me up to take me home. i didnt really understand what was going on at the time but now i do. and yes i also have a moment of silence in my school. and looking back at that giorno and seeing what it did to us it just brings tears to my eyes. and im so sorry for anybody that Lost there family members that day.

I was at school and I was in first class, making me 7 aswell. Actually, I was only six, but almost 7. It was my granny's birthday, so when my dad picked me and my two brothers up from school we went to our local supermercato to buy her a present. We're 5 hours ahead over here, so it was three o' clock when we heard the news. I remember seeing the look on my dad's face, because he had a friend who was working in a building near the trade centre. Luckily he was fine, but it took dad ages to track him down. I couldn't understand why someone would do that, and I remember asking my dad why when we heard the news. He wasn't able to tell me.
For weeks it was the only item on the news, and I remember getting annoyed at it. I didn't understand why people didn't just sposta on.
I witnessed that horrific giorno from thousands of miles away but it still shaped my world. A few anno later I made Friends with a new american boy in our school: his uncle and three of his cousins had been killed on 9/11.
Every anno on the anniversary of that giorno I sit and pray for all the people who died and their families.
At 7yrs old I didn't understand, but now I do. I get angry and cynical and depressed when I think about it and watch documentaries on it.
It changed my view on everything. It shaped my world, though I had nothing to do with it.

I was 1 almost 2 when it happend...I don't remember a thing that happend that giorno well i was 1 so yeah..and so i don't know if any Friends o family i knew where killed...But i will pray tonight for all the poor souls that were Lost in the event and god bless whom familys o familys memebers that were killed during o right after the event...God bless God bless there souls ;__;

I was 4 so I don't actually remember. But my dad was at work and a friend of his called him and said: 'Turn on the TV now!!!' and when he did, he watched the secondo plane crash. :(

Gosh, well, eveything went wrong, I think there's something serioulsy wrong with this date! Three cars have collided, one died, I helped and because of that, I missed my super-cool party! Why can't people just drive like me?!

I was home with my family..We were celebrating my birthday...When we heard the news my mum sad that we should give some respect to those people who died there...And we did it...We have turned down the Musica and had a minuto of silence...I know that its strange thing to do,specially on your b-day but i was't mad o anything...I know that that giorno for me should be full of happiness and joy but even now,9 years later we still do that because i know that there are people who Lost their loved ones on that giorno and they are suffering...So smallest thing i can do as another human being is to have that minuto of silence and honor ones who died on that day...I am so sorry because this had happened and that those people died that day,because they have deserved to live and to be loved...And now all we can do is honor them and remember them...

I don't remember much of what was going on that day; I was only 6 years old in the first grade. I remember walking in the living room, watching the tv screen with a perplexed look. The only memory I got out of this giorno was bombarding my dad with domande of what was going on in the news with two planes crashing into two buildings, and exploding. :(

i was in dippers i was 2 at the time but when i grew older on 9/11 my nabber adam (he is the same age as me) showed me a vid of 9/11 i rembmer the bildings falling ad everyone runing and behinde there was a relly big gray nube, nuvola of smoke but some of it was the twin towers

I was tackling my first week at middle school, and i remember being sent to the auditorium then dismissed from school. While i was en route home i remember hearing things on the radio about explosions and building colapses. When i got home mom and my little sisters therapist were watching the Televisione with a horrified expression on both faces. later that giorno i remember being embraced da a sobbing grandmother, and i also remember seeing a lot of american flags and ribbons making appearances on peoples houses and businesses, and that was the only thing we could discuss at school for weeks.

i dont really remember but according to my dad i was like 4 and my dad was gonna take me, my brother, and sister (who were only 1) to this park cuz it was one of the hottest days of the anno and when we got home we saw what happened ont the news.i live in canada so we dont really have the moment of silence thing...

I was 3 in Italy visiting family then my great grandma turned on the t.v and all I can rember is my half sister falling down to the floor crying because her brother NOT mine worked at the world trade center my sister was nine. We had to stay there for weeks I was scared that my mom had died , so I kept asking colomba si è mamma lei ok thats where is mommy is she okay ? in Italian

I was 6. I was at Brisbane airport (Australia) and it was in lockdown. We were stuck there for 3 days.

i was in school and they were playin' it on the tv. planes crashing again an again. i was sooo upset!!!! i'm puttin' up everyone who died/ was hurt in 9/11 cuz they were Ribelle - The Brave people to the end. all of them---even the little 3 anno old and the 5 anno old sisters that died in one of the crashes. i read about htem in the paper. it's sooo sad. :(
