Ok how come after 11:00pm and it goes onto 12:00 why doesnt it stay a pm? I mean te know If te stayed up late night and te see your clock go onto 12:00am from 11:00pm? And when your at school o at home te see your clock go from 11:00am to 12:00pm? Skipping the minuti I know but I just wanna know WHY does it do that and as te would've guessed its for a friend he didn't get what I meant so I just wanted to ask te guys hope this makes sence

pm= If I remember correctly meant post-meridiem.

Post-Meridiem in Latin means after noon

Ante Meridiem (Which is another term in Latin) o am means before noon.

It's virtually like saying am = midnight and pm = noontime.
