I can't say all people who suicides or want to suicide are weak.

I think anyone who pushes someone to suicide is weak.

If something pushes someone enough to take their own life, then I'm willing to bet that the person had to go through a lot of shit

...all i know is this... by the time they have decided that there's no other way out... they are weak, but that's typically not a fault of their own, it's typically the influence and inconsideration of others. they are weak in the end, but it wasn't their fault... i'll leave it at that.

So the girl who was gang-raped, neglected, abused emotionally and physically, who was called nasty things everyday, who was spit on and used and betrayed, is weak because after living years of nothing but the same thing...she decides to leave. She is apparently weak because after self-harming for years, after knowing the hospital as if it were a second home, jumping from shelter to shelter just to feed herself even a bit.

This girl is weak because there was no one to help her go through anything, no one to call her pretty, no one to hug her, no one to lend a hand, no one to give her support or shelter, and for that she is weak.

No one is super, but this hypothetical girl is beyond me or you. She survived years of being a lesser human, and when she realizes that after years and years, "maybe it won't get better", she is weak for leaving.

She is not the weak one, it is bystanders watching the abuse, people living their lives while they could send a small reminder that this girl is a human and deserves to be treated as one. No, don't even try to claim they are weak. The others are weak, those who watch and don't do anything.

^to have no strength left to want to live is 'weak', no strength literally is what weak is. but like i said, it's not their faults, they are just caught up in a mean, destructive, system. and like i said, once they made that decision, they are weak. they may have lasted strongly before, through much agony and pain, but once they give up, it is weak.

They still would want to live though if they knew their life could become better later on, that they would have a chance of finding happiness. But those who result to suicide are possessed by sadness and consumed by the mindset that either they do not deserve to live in this world, or that their life will never ever change. Death is a relief to some people who have undergone the limit of emotional and mental agony. It can be compared to someone wanting relief from physical agony. Would it be considered weak then for someone with a physical injury to want anesthesia to relieve the pain? There isn't many people who would call it weak for not wanting to undergo that physical pain without the medicine. But mental and emotional pain is much more severe from that of physical pain and unfortunately there is no anesthesia for that type of suffering. Most people who commit it are mentally ill, clinical depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and other illnesses. They are not weak, they are sick and in need of someone to help them through it.
Natural human instinct is for survival. If we get wounded, we have millions of white blood cells in are body to repair us. If we suddenly shift locations to somewhere we are not use to, we can evolve and adapt to that place. If we don't have enough to eat, we literally eat ourselves as our cells live off the remaining fat we have just so we can survive another day. Our bodies are designed to be able to go through so much incredible physical agony, and still survive in the end. So biologically wise, intentionally killing yourself sounds ridiculous. One of the greatest natural human fears is the fear of death. But this is also why I think taking your life if anything, takes a huge amount of courage and strength. To end it there and not go on. To not know what waits for you after that. No, they are not weak. They are extremely brave. But they are also extremely broken.

Im a bit in the middle on this subject.
People react differently to stress and I understand some people might be mental ill and stuff but I can't bring myself to think that killing yourself is brave or strong for that matter. You're giving up something precious..... A chance at life maybe someone else didn't have and to throw it away for whatever reason just doesn't seem right to me.

Yeah...I am not going to go ask help from anyone who picked yes. It's sad to see that having strength is supposed to be what makes a person strong. Strength isn't everything. I'm just disgusted now.
I'm so sorry that you (by you I am just talking in general) assume a person is weak just because they killed themselves. They were strong to the very end. They went through day in and day out surviving until the moment they ended it. I'm sorry but depression isn't something you can easily fight. They may be physically strong but there is a difference between mentally and physically strong. Remember that.

I know some people who suffered loads and loads of problems but they never gave up their lives and they were also humans if they can be strong then why not the others can? It is so sad to see someone killing their self.... they're just forced to do that... really sad...

Having contemplated and attempted suicide in the past, I don't think you can really throw stones at someone who has attempted or committed it unless you've been suicidal or have known someone who is/was. Some horrible things can happen to people in this world, and many times they do try to fight the suicidal thoughts and feelings but in the end, they lose the battle with their depression or pain or whatever it is they are dealing with. That's what happened with an old girlfriend. She suffered from severe depression for a long, long time after years of abuse and after years of fighting it, she finally ended her life. It was devastating, and as painful as it was to see it, I understood why she did it. She had no hope, I tried to help her in every way that I could but apparently I wasn't enough to soothe her pain. Nothing was. Though I survived my ordeals, not everyone does. Sometimes things don't get better, there are some wounds that time can't heal. With many people, the battle to hold on to the will to live can't be won. And everyone reacts to pain, trauma and sadness differently, some terrible event that might make someone cry everyday for some months then they learn to deal with it might make another think about killing themselves.
