For some reason I can't stand Mariah Carey but I love Carrie Underwood even though I'm not a fan of Country. Just Carrie.

Both have amazing voices, but definitely Carrie. While I wouldn't say that Mariah's voice ever sounds bad, there are times her signature high note singing kind of irks me. Again, when it does that doesn't mean she sounds bad, it's still amazing, just not for me. Plus she has a tendency to sing too wild. Plus Carrie's rendition of The Hills Are Alive was absolutely AMAZING! She wasn't trying to be Julie Andrews, but instead did her own thing that was absolutely PHENOMENAL! If only Carrie's acting in the Sound of Music wasn't so horrid, she would've been completely perfect for the part (Well, almost, Julie is the only Maria, aside from the real historic Maria).

Both are good, but I'm gonna have to go Carrie.

Both are amazingly talented, but I find Mariah slightly overrated. Plus, Carrie is in my top 10 best female singing voices of all time.

I like how Mariah can hit the whistle tones and she does have a great voice, but other than that, I've always found her overrated.
