Never been camping and kinda don't want to. I'm not fond of the outdoor, especially insects lol. Glamping sounds like the way to go.

To me, they both sound like they're equally wonderful ways to spend time in the outdoors.

It all depends on what you're looking for. Personally, I love both, but glamping has its pros and cons. For one, you don't have to carry as much gear. You don't have to worry about the elements or pitching a tent in the wilderness. On the other hand, you do miss out on the "authentic" experience of camping. Sure, you're still in the woods, but you're probably a lot more comfortable in your own bed. You also miss out on the company of other campers, though that's always a potential danger wherever you go.

I prefer camping over glamping because
... well, it's just nice to be outside. There's nothing like sitting around a campfire with good friends. You can't beat the natural rhythm of the world. The stars are out in a way that you can't see in the city. The moon is full in a way you won't experience... ever. Hunting is an authentic way to provide food for yourself. The great outdoors is filled with so many things to do, see and experience. Even when you've exhausted the possibilities in the great outdoors, there's always the potential for new discovery.

I like to get comfortable and kick my shoes off. I love the sensation of grass between my toes and the feeling of dirt scratching at my fingernails. I like making a fire and basking in its warmth. I like sleeping in my sleeping bag without any sort of inclosure. I like the feeling of nature all around me.
I think we've all discovered a sort of "natural high" when spent in the woods. Not that I advocate doing drugs, but each of us brings something different to the table. There is no wrong way to enjoy the woods.

I can listen to the forest around me. You can't do that in a fancy RV. Like to cook delicious food over an open fire. Camping is more relaxing than glamping. Especially if you get to sleep under the stars.

I much prefer proper camping. There's something nice about actually being out in the proper wop wops and not just staying in something that's basically the same as staying in a motel. Besides, I used to do a lot of hiking, camping and climbing mountains, so it's not exactly strange in my books.
